VisionTek R7 250 overview

  • 1Description

The VisionTek Radeon R7 250 Graphics Card (Small Form Factor) is a discrete, Low Profile graphics solution providing 1GB of GDDR5 vRAM and a 1050 MHz GPU core speed. Not only can this card drive displays, it can also accelerate performance in GPU-aware applications.

This version of the Radeon R7 250 has its GPU cores arranged using AMD's GCN architecture. This architecture allows the card to perform texture and filter rendering with greater efficiency. GCN architecture is designed for general computing, making it useful for programming with GPU-aware languages like C++, AMP, and OpenCL.

With a variety of on-board outputs, the R7 250 card can output to virtually any kind of display. The R7 supports digital displays with its DVI and HDMI outputs. For displays that take an analog signal, a VGA output is also available. In order to use the VGA output in a small form factor configuration, the included VGA bracket must be used in another open slot. When using the HDMI output, resolutions of up to 4096 x 2160 are supported at up to 60 fps.

AMD App Acceleration
AMD App Acceleration: AMD App Accelerator creates a "co-processing" environment in which the compute processing potential in the GPU works together with the system central processor, to accelerate compatible applications.
AMD Crossfire Technology
Configure multiple GPUs to split the computing load and increase graphics rendering performance.
AMD PowerTune Technology
Maximize your performance under load conditions by dynamically increasing the GPU engine clock to take advantage of unused TDP headroom. You can also configure your own TDP limit, within a provided range, for even higher performance or more power efficiency.
Boost State Smart Over-Clocking Control
Automatically allows Radeon GPUs to run higher than the base core speed if it's operating below specified power, current, and temperature limits.
