The Aurora Multimedia DXW-2E-S3-A-W HDBaseT Receiver and 2 Gang Extender Wall Plate Kit for AV consists of the DXW-2E-W HDMI/VGA Wall Plate to HDBaseT Extender and the DXE-CAT-RX3-A HDMI HDBaseT Extender with Relays & Amplifier.The DXW-2E-W HDMI/VGA Wall Plate transmitter installs into a standard 2-gang outlet box and functions as a switcher, converter, and extender. It converts VGA or HDMI to HDBaseT and transmits it up to 600' to the DXE-CAT-RX3-A. It simultaneously also supports an Ethernet input to provide you with internet access on the receiver end. The HDBaseT output is on the rear side, and a single CAT cable runs from it, through a wall, to the receiver. The transmitter is powered remotely from the receiver via the HDBaseT connection or locally via an optional PS0053-1 power supply.
The DXE-CAT-RX3-A HDMI HDBaseT Extender with Relays & Amplifier is part of the DigitalXtreme Series. Rear mounted connectors provide for a clean professional installation. The extender is designed to complement the Digital Xtreme Series of HDBaseT transmitters such as the DXW-2 series HDBaseT wall plates, DXE-CAT-TX1, DXE-CAT-TX2, DXM Matrixes, etc. The built-in relays allow for screen control and the audio amplifier versions will fill the room with sound when used with the Aurora SKR-22T 360° Sound Field Ceiling Tile Speaker (sold separately).
An integrated solution for rolling carts, podiums, and credenzas is possible with the DXE-CAT. The HDBaseT technology, with a single CAT cable, allows it to operate up to 330' for 1080p 60 Hz 48-bit color depth, 500' for 1080p 60 Hz 24-bit (CAT6), or 600' for 1080p 60 Hz 24-bit (CAT6A shielded) depending on transmitter model. In addition, the RS-232, IR, & LAN can be sent over the same cable bidirectionally. This unit has the ability to serve up Web control pages via LAN to any browser-enabled device like an iPad, iPhone, PC, Android, and more to take control of the RS-232, IR, and LAN. This is done with the Aurora LXC control system engine inside, so not only is the DXE-CAT an HDMI extender receiver unit, but a fully functional autonomous control system that can operate standalone or as a port expansion unit for any control system.
