This tri-colored orange Reno 45 DSLR Backpack from Vanguard holds a DSLR with a lens, up to a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, and a flash between padded touch-fastened dividers inside a rear-access gear compartment. The backpack features a front vertical zippered pocket for storing your iPad or a similar-size tablet in a protective case. For your accessories, there is a spacious zippered storage compartment at the top.

The front of the backpack has a zippered pocket that fits your lens cap, and the sides have mesh slip pockets that fit a water bottle. Together with an attachment strap at the top, one of the mesh slip pockets also acts as a side monopod attachment. There is an ergonomically padded back panel for comfortably carrying the backpack, which features padded shoulder straps with both sternum and waist belts. A top grip handle allows you to quickly grab the backpack on the go, and a removable rain cover protects your gear in unpredictable weather.

For quick-access to your camera gear, fasten the waist belt and remove the shoulder straps to turn your backpack to your front
For attaching additional accessories, there are attachment loops on the shoulder straps
A 10-point adjustable backpack harness and suspension system provide comfort when carrying your gear for long amounts of time

    Vanguard RENO 45OR reviews

Reno 45 DSLR Backpack (Orange) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compared 4 bags and this was the runner up I am working on a full review with video for my site, but to sum it up I ordered 4 bags and this was my 2nd choice. offers quite a bit for the price and even it comes with an attached included rain cover. I was surprised that I was between the least and most expensive and the lightest and heaviest bags. The material was nicer than I expected with its price being so much less. I also like the brown color over the standard I'M A CAMERA BACKPACK! black. It came in orange too that I considered for not getting shot in the woods by a hunter. The photo compartment comes out but it's not really transferable to any bag I own It also has an odd open gap in the side padding. I prefer to have the camera grip up when I open the area/bag to it so I can grab it with one hand. I almost gave up on this bag because the only way my camera fits is to sit on its bottom. This may not work on a larger camera like the Fz2500 because it's pretty tight with my Fz1000. I liked the fact you could use one side for water and one side for the tripod. But my travel size Targus tripod doesn't work because of the center part. I can't get it in the side. My Vanguard tripod is just not the right size for this bag. So that is probably the biggest downside for this bag, that or the one large top pocket. I'd still be carrying my tripod to waterfalls shots. I mean it can fit my mini tabletop tripods, but not a larger one the legs can be stuck in the water with your camera above water. I had 2 concerns on the size of the waist straps since you're supposed to use this Flipside bag to flip it around. They didn't seem as reinforced as the other 3 bags. Also when it was loaded it was harder to get the camera part to zip back up because it puts that area in a bind. It's also a little difficult to swing it back around when you're done having it in front of you. I hadn't considered that you couldn't actually access (or put back) the water without flipping it around. When it is hanging from the tripod hook you have to hold the bottom up before you unzip to keep the camera from falling out. It's basically 3 compartments not counting the outside side pockets. It has the camera area, one big top area, and the small thin zippered area but still for the price this would've been my 2nd choice of the 4 bags I tried.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It is not big enough and the handle on the top is too thin It is not big enough to hold my Canon 6D with the 70-200mm lens attached. It can hold the 70-200mm itself. If I put my camera with the 24-70mm lens attached and the 70-200mm lens in the bag, there is almost no space left. Maybe you can squeeze in something small, such as memory cards, cleaning cloth, battery. There are no organized small compartments in the other part of the bag. By the way, when you put two lenses in the bag, the bag is very heavy and then you realize the handle on the top of the bag is too thin. There are some good things about it that I was looking for a day-use camera bag. It has a upper compartment that I can put my clothes in it. There are two mesh bags that I can put a water bottle and a tripod in them. It also has a rain cover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect for day hikes/events Just the right size for a day hike or event with a D750 and a few lens (one prime, one zoom) and some lunch/rain gear. Color is an attractive orange and fits the bill for hunting season. Seems well made for the price. Well padded but not heavy. Dropped one star because it would be nice to be able to access the camera section from the outside of the pack (can only access it from the inside that is against your back). Would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I needed a day pack to hold my camera for when I go birding. I have found this back pack to be perfect. It looks great and is well designed. The main pack is separated into 2 compartments with a removable divider. The padded camera case (it is also removable) is located at the bottom and accessed from the back. I have a dslr & 2 lens (18-135 & 55-300), & flash. They fit fine with room to spare. I like how you can twist the pack around your waist, not put it on the ground to access. I have been looking at packs with water proof bottoms, assuming I would need to put the on the ground to access them. Then worried about the extra weight and discomfort a solid or reinforced bottom would create. The rear access solves that. The upper compartment is perfect for all of the big stuff, my jacket and binoculars and food etc. and is easily accessed by zipper across the top. I am a birder and need quick access to my iPad. The pack has a separate iPad slot right in front. It works perfect. The iPad slides in & out easily. Then there is the small pocket right on top for the little stuff like phone & keys. Also wanted a place for a compact tripod and water bottle. It can accommodate both with side pockets. It is well padded and comfortable to wear. I am a small woman, and did not want something too big. This is the right size to me. As to color, I really did not want black. I got the orange and it is beautiful. It has a grey interior so you can see what you got, and it also looks great with the orange exterior. I have been looking for the right pack for over a year. Then made the plunge when this went on sale. This is my first camera backpack, and I really really like it.
