The RE50N/D-B has a neodymium magnet, which allows the RE50N/D-B to have output comparable to a condenser microphone without the need for an external power source. It also features Electro-Voice's Dyna-Damp shockmount system which provides low handling noise, a necessary feature for ENG applications. The mic flag has a 3.52 x 1.88" (89.5 x 48mm) print area, and features rubber vanes to help stay securely attached to the RE50N/D-B.
