The Session Percussion AD2 ADPAK from XLN Audio is a virtual drum kit that feature fifteen exotic percussion instruments that were originally auditioned and matched to work together as a complete kit. The congas and timbales work as the toms, a large orchestral bass drum as the kick, and a Brazilian caixa as a snare, with blocks, tambourine, pandeiro and hi-hats rounding out the kit.
Session Percussion can be played like a regular kit, or used alongside other conventional kits. The included presets cover a wide variety of music genres and production styles, ranging from vintage to Latin pop and rock, to hip hop and R n' B, and even modern dancehall.
The kit is powered by the Addictive Drums 2 sound engine, allowing for instant loading and tweaking of drums, along with realistic performance playback, all with little CPU load. The musician-centric interface and effects provide endless possibilities for composition and sound design. Addictive Drums 2 supports most major e-drum companies like Roland, Yamaha, Alesis, and others and includes many map presets for e-drum models.
