  • 1Description

The LS-750 Camera Adapter & LS-850 Base Station Transmission System from Nipros includes the LS-750 4K+X Fiber Optic Camera Adapter and the LS-850 4K+X Base Station.

The LS-750 camera adapter can simultaneously transmit 4K + 2K or up to five HD (3G) camera channels when used with the LS-850 base station. The system is designed for professional operation in tough live conditions. The five video inputs are flexible enough to support five independent (asynchronous) HD signals at any mix of video frame rates for POV applications. In addition, any data from any SDI signal can be transmitted without data elimination, preserving even the metadata in the SDI ancillary data. 2048 x 1080 resolution SDI data can also be transmitted. The adapter is compatible with any 4K or HD camera, including Sony PMW/PDW series, Canon EOS & C series, Panasonic 4K or P2 series, Ikegami GF CAM, JVC GY series, and others.

The LS-850 base station can simultaneously receive 4K + 2K or up to five HD (3G) camera channels from the LS-750 camera adapter. The base station can also be used to transmit 60W power up to 1.2 mi over the same fiber optic cable to the camera adapter. The system is designed for professional operation in tough live conditions.

  • LS-750 4K+X Fiber Optic Camera Adapter

The durable Nipros LS-750 4K+X Fiber Optic Camera Adapter can simultaneously transmit 4K + 2K or up to five HD (3G) camera channels when used with the LS-850 base station (available separately). The system is designed for professional operation in tough live conditions. The five video inputs are flexible enough to support five independent (asynchronous) HD signals at any mix of video frame rates for POV applications. In addition, any data from any SDI signal can be transmitted without data elimination, preserving even the metadata in the SDI ancillary data; 2048 x 1080 resolution SDI data can also be transmitted.

The camera adapter provides all essential inputs/outputs needed to support 35mm 4K systems and offers remote ports for Sony, Panasonic, JVC, and Ikegami cameras to simplify system integration and eliminate the need for custom cabling. A LAN interface is also provided for remote control of the camera via the LS-850 base station. The system transmits all essential camera signals optically via an SMPTE-311/304 interface, ensuring high-quality video and audio with minimal signal degradation.

The system can also be used to extend 60W power up to 1.2 mi over a single fiber optic cable from the base station to the camera adapter. The adapter features multiple a V-mount type battery shoe that supplies 15 VDC to the camera, and a 12 VDC 4-pin XLR DC output to power essential camera system accessories, such as a teleprompter, at the camera location.

The adapter is compatible with any 4K or HD camera, including Sony PMW/PDW series, Canon EOS & C series, Panasonic 4K or P2 series, Ikegami GF CAM, JVC GY series, and others.

Five HD-SDI/3G-SDI Down Streams & One Upstream Transmission

4K + HD or up to five HD of 3G/HD/SD-SD signals can be transmitted simultaneously
Signals are transmitted independently, without the need for Genlock and uniformity of the signal format

    Integration

Lightweight & streamlined adapter integrates with most digital cinema camcorders
Provides all essential inputs/outputs needed to support 35mm 4K systems
Supports control of all major camera parameters
Compatible with nearly all 4K or HD cameras, including the Sony PMW/PDW series, Canon EOS & C series, Panasonic 4K or P2 series, Ikegami GF CAM, JVC GY series, and others

Transmission of All Data in Any SDI Format

Any data from any SDI signal can be transmitted without data elimination; this is very important as there is a variety of metadata in the SDI ancillary area
2048 x 1080 resolution SDI data can also be transmitted

Transmission Distance up to 1.2 miles

With the LS-750/850 combination, 60W of power can be supplied up to a distance of 1.2 mi (2km) via an SMPTE fiber optic cable between the base station and the camera adapter 1

Signal Transmission and Signal Status Indicator

SDI signals that are sent via the LS system can be transmitted individually or synchronized as can Genlock, so it is possible to mix any transmitted SDI signal
Status of each signal being transmitted is displayed via an LED indicator on both the LS base station and camera adapter, allowing instant checking of signals

    Camera Remote Control

Most serial communication remote controls can be transmitted through the LS-850 to the LS-750
Offers remote ports for Sony, Panasonic, JVC, and Ikegami cameras to simplify system integration and eliminate the need for custom cabling (a single remote port is used at a time; an optional modification allows for two remote ports to operate simultaneously)
Fully compatible with camera remote control panels from most major manufacturers

    Intercom (ENG and Production)

Two lines of intercom communication: ENG and PROD
Allows connection to other broadcasting facilities via two or four wire systems

    AC/DC Operation

The LS 750/850 system can be operated using either AC or DC power
This is made possible by the use of a specially designed low-power circuit

    Power Supply Backup Function

Runs on AC power when both AC and local DC power is connected
Should AC power fail, it will automatically switch to the DC power to provide continuous transmission

    LAN (IP Communication) Function

LAN (RJ-45) interface is also available
Allows you to control cameras and accessories through IP 100Base-TX directly from LS-850 base station to LS-750 camera adapter

    Bi-Directional TC (Timecode)

Bi-Directional TC transmission enables each camera's recorder to be fully synchronized with the same timecode
This feature is useful when using an external recording accessory connected to the camera adapter

    LS-750 Signal Loop Through

Each camera adapter signal input can be looped through to an external device, for when recording to an external recorder is required

    Simple Tally Function

Each tally signal received from a switcher can be connected to the LS-850 base station
A simple close contact type tally signal can be shown as a red tally, whereas as a composite type tally signal can be shown in both red and green (5V: RED / 3V: GREEN)

    Simple Menu-Free Setup

The LS-750 and LS-850 form a plug-and-play, easy to setup system
It has no complicated setup menu, just connect a signal and transmit

    Clean Digital Signal Output

    Outputs broadcast quality transmission signals

Special Re-Clock Circuit for Constant High-Quality Signal

Re-clock circuit protects the base station output signals from interruptions such as those caused by long BNC cables
Re-clock circuit effectively cleans transmission signal, preventing any packet loss

    Return Video Viewing

When used in combination with a separately available Nipros viewfinder (HDF-700/HDF-700V/HDF-500), the system allows the camera operator to see the return video coming from the camera adapter by switching between the camera picture and return video at the push of a button
  • LS-850 4K+X Fiber Optic Base Station

The Nipros LS-850 4K+X Fiber Optic Base Station can simultaneously receive 4K + 2K or up to five HD (3G) camera channels from the LS-750 camera adapter (available separately). The base station can also be used to transmit 60W power up to 1.2 mi over the same fiber optic cable to the camera adapter.
