The 39x22x 22" with textured sandstone finish BF-Series Fire-Burglary Safe from American Security is a fireproof safe capable that is UL listed to be fireproof up to 350°F for up to 30 minutes, and has been tested to withstand 1700°F for up to 30 minutes. The safe's 2 5/8" walls are lined with a fireproof insulation, and the 3.5" door is sealed using Palusol silicone which is a heat-activated material that forms a fire-resistant seal by expanding into gaps.
This safe's locking system features three 1" chrome-plated bolts and a full-length dead-bar that locks into the body to prevent the door from being removed in the event of a forced-entry. Access to the BF-Series safe is granted by American Security's Group II combination lock, and complies with UL Residential Security Container (RSC) standards. Additional protection against tampering is provided by the safe's drill-resistant hard plate, which is equipped with two spring-loaded re-locking devices. American Security backs the BF-Series safe with a Lifetime Warranty against theft and fire.
