Pro-Light Rolling Lighting Gear Organizer (Large) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not built for professional use I have used this case daily for three years. On the up-side, it is a great size for carrying two Elinchrom Quadras, a tripod, and a couple of stands. On the downside, it is all but destroyed - the zip on my bag is now a mess, it is on its third set of wheels, and every corner is torn, and held together with duct tape. The rubber protectors are more aesthetic than actually useful, since they do not protect the most vulnerable parts of the bag. It is also difficult to pull along. Without an extending handle, the bad catches your heels as you walk. This is an expensive bag that simply isn't built well enough for daily use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sturdy case / well organized This case is great for traveling. I am able to fit my Sachtler FSB-8 tripod with Sachtler Carbon Fiber legs in the stand portion of the case. Also in the stand portion of the case I can fit two manfrotto 1051BAC light stands and a boom pole. In the cubby holes on the other side of the case I have extension cords, gaff tape, super clamps, a-clamps, etc. There are even small pocket organizers to hold studs, batteries, etc. There are interior and exterior pockets where I hold gels, reflectors, and a gray card. This case seems sturdy and thoroughly designed. Definitely happy with this purchase. One thing to note though, make sure you place your tripod in the case with the head up. There is little to no padding in the case right by the wheels. If you are checking this bag that could become a problem...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from one big notch above the Transpak from Photoflex I used to have the transpak from photoflex. It finally died and I decided to upgrade to this one. Larger: I can more easily fit many tripods Various small compartments: great for clamps and other small accessories that now don't move around and scratch the equipement. More interior length: this is hard to beleive but somehow, with the way the wheels are made, this pack has the same exterior dimension but is longer on the inside. Outside extra storage: pretty handy Offer-centered top handle: this allows for more ease and comfort when rolling the case

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price I have the Large size case for one of my lighting kits. Pros: It's roomy, seems to be reasonably well made, and much lighter than I expected. The construction seems protective of the gear inside. It holds a fair amount of gear. Cons: 1. The zippers worry me. They are not easy to slide around the curves on the lid, so I am very careful with them. Other cases I own have much smoother zippers. 2. It comes with very few interior dividers -- basically, one long divider lengthwise, and four smaller dividers for one side, all the same size. That means that the position of the long divider is fixed, and it's not ideal for my gear. Again, compared to a high end case which comes packed with dividers, there is no comparison. 3. The interior fabric is not compatible with standard Velcro (tm), so I can't use dividers from another case -- they don't stick at all. 4. That said, the dividers that come with this case don't stick all that well. They come apart when I wheel the case around with heavy gear. The little pouches that are designed to stick to the sides of the dividers and hold small items pull right out when I try to open them, instead of opening. I guess this sounds overall more negative than I feel. It's a fine case for my use -- which is carrying a large battery powered flash power pack, head, reflector, light stands, and a 1-meter octabank on location. The case lives in my truck, and I won't ever fly with it, so it should work well for a long time. For the price (less than half the cost of the other brand that I use) it's a decent value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally a case i can fly with I fly all the time with my gear, one-man banding it. This case hits the goldilocks of lightness versus strength. Not so heavy like a Pelican that it pushes you over the 50 lb. limit. But strong enough that I've never had anything broken in it. In this case I can get, my tripod, 2 light stands, LED key light with softbox, and clothes for about 3 days under the 50 lb. limit. This is often the only bag I check, saving money and hassle. I took off one star since one of the wheel assembly split in the middle when it was slammed a little too hard on the ground by a baggage handler. I reinforced it with some extra bolts and it's holding up okay, but I'll have to replace the case before too long. The two rivets they attach the wheel assembly with is really not enough. It should have at least 4 of them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable case, but not study enough for air travel I really liked this case when I bought it. It's great size, good lid organizers. But the bottom of it broke (during transportation on a flight) after less of 6 month of normal work. (Maybe 12-15 air plane travels in total) Other cons: Not sturdy enough for traveling by plane Straps that supposed to hold the lid in vertical position are too short, you cannot fully open lid with them. There are simply not enough dividers for most of equipment (I added extra them from my previous case.) There is no corner protection on the bottom (which leads to breaking the bottom of the case) The material on the top of the lid is not strong enough. After second travel by plane with the case I got holes in the lid. Pros: Great size, fits a lot of equipment and comfortable for transportation. Very good lid organizers. Comes very handy for a lot of accessories like gels, diffusers, portable soft-boxes etc. Good looking shape of the bag (looks professional) Very light weigh compare to pelican cases. Equipment feels well protected inside Fits in most of car trunks. Over all I would recommend this bag if you don't plan to travel with this bag. Great for studio or local shoots. I wish this bag was sturdier and I would be able to continue using it in my work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wish Tamrac still made the very similar 661 Rolling Studio I bought this to replace the last of my 3 Medium Tamrac 661 Rolling Studios, each of which lasted 6 years and was the perfect size for my location portrait lighting kit. I wish the Tamracs were still available. This case is almost identical in capacity, but lacks the versatile dividers the now-discontinued Tamracs came with. I transferred my old dividers, which fit less-than-perfectly, but serve my purposes much better than the extremely minimal dividers provided by Manfroto. It also lacks the long runners on the bottom that made the Tamracs easy to drag up and down stairs, as well as a huge outside pocket that could be crammed with an amazing amount of stuff that doesn't need protection, such as clothing, fabric backdrops, etc (the top pocket on this case is very limited in size). The Achilles heel of the Tamracs were the cheap plastic wheels, which eventually cracked and fell apart, after already rolling roughly due to bent mountings. When the bags were packed with heavy gear, it was hard to avoid occasionally setting it down hard on the wheels, and they couldn't take it. Looks can be deceiving, but these look just like the wheels and mounts used by Tamrac. I don't trust them. Had I known about ThinkTank's Production Manager 40 & 50 cases, I would have spent the extra $ for one of them, as they look built to last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag for Travel In my long search for a bag to carry all my video support gear, I almost just bought a large Pelican case with wheels. However, Pelican cases are heavy and not friendly with over weight charges when checking-in at the airport. This pro-light bag was the best option I've found so far. The bag itself is quite large and holds my Rhino slider, Manfrotto tripod (with a 502 fluid head), light stands, and photo tripod with room to spare. The square compartments even come with removable velcro pockets that can hold smaller items. The walls are nice and sturdy and the padding is adequate. Zippers are nice and burly as well. It's build quality is good enough where you won't be concerned about checking it in when traveling. When the bag is filled to capacity and heavy, it's a little awkward rolling the bag with the top handle. You need to angle it just right to get it at the sweet spot. Even then, it's still a little awkward. Also, the size of this bag perfectly fits inside the trunk of a small sedan. You might run into issues if you decide to get the extra-large size. Overall, I'm pleased at the build quality and functionality of this bag. If you were like me and had a hard time looking for a lightweight but burly bag for your gear, you won't be disappointed with this purchase.
