Key Features
  • X-Mount Lens/APS-C Format
  • 27-206mm (35mm Equivalent)
  • Aperture Range: f/3.5 to f/22
  • Two Extra-Low Dispersion Elements
An ideal all-around lens, the FUJIFILM XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR is a versatile 27-206mm-equivalent zoom, covering wide-angle to medium telephoto fields of view. Well-suited for travel and walkaround shooting, the expansive reach of this lens is further complemented by a sophisticated optical design, which uses ED and aspherical elements, to produce high color accuracy, sharpness, and image clarity. An HT-EBC coating also improves contrast and color neutrality by reducing flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions. Also benefitting use in a variety of situations, a linear motor delivers quick and quiet autofocus performance and a five stop-effective image stabilization system minimizes the appearance of camera shake. Additionally, the lens is fully weather-sealed for working in inclement conditions.

when you hold the zoom ring tight and slowly rotate, is it supposed to be butter smooth? or does it have some bumps?
Asked by: Allan
The FUJIFILM XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens does have some resistance when you turn the zoom ring—it is not as smooth as the focus ring. However, you should not encounter any bumps throughout the entire focal length.

Is the lens barrel plastic or metal? I have read reviews praising the all-metal barrel, and another saying the barrel was made of plastic.

The Fujifilm XF 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens has a metal mount, high-grade plastic barrel, plastic focus and aperture rings, and a non-rotating 67mm filter thread.

Does this older lens hold up on the X-T5 or is there another mid-zoom lens suggestion for the X-T5?
Asked by: Louis
With a high-resolution camera like the X-T5, the FUJIFILM XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens wouldn't give the best results; the FUJIFILM XF 16-55mm f/2.8 R LM WR Lens would produce much better results.

this 18-135 is not recommended for XT 5 which wide-telepphoto zoom ,not 18-55 that would perform better?
Asked by: Louis
The FUJIFILM XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens is compatible with the FUJIFILM X-T5 Mirrorless Camera. However, the max aperture must be wider to work well in low light. The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens for FUJIFILM, BH #TA177028F, is a better option.
