Simple stable elegant mount
This mount is very well made, simple to install on the binocular (in my case Conquest 10X HD) with a 1/4-20 female thread on the bottom. Added bonus, the base is tapered to fit Manfrotto tripod quick disconnect mount, which I use. If you get tired of hand help, this works great. Installations is simple: 1) push button on mount and remove the stud form the mount. 2) remove the dust cap on the hinge of the binoc. 3) Screw the mount stud into the binoc and when snug, screw the small set screw to keep stud from un-threading. 4) Secure the mount to a tripod of your choice. 5) Simply slide binoc with stud into the mount and ensure the top button engages it to lock. 6) lift the lever to secure the binoc tight to the mount and lock the pitch (cant). To remove, lower lever, push button and slide off the binoc. No need to remove the stud on the binoc. I mention this because a previous review mentions you need to remove the stud every time. You do not - maybe this will help them. All in all a great product!
It does what it says but only fine if..
.. you want to leave the binocs on the tripod all the time. It doesn't fold out of the way so you can't really use the binocs handheld with it on. Would have been better if it could fold underneath instead of having to use the allen key to remove it each time. Some sort of cradle mount would have been more practical.
