The DJI Phantom 1.1.1 with GoPro HERO4 Black, Battery, Card and Case Kit is a bundle from B&H that, in addition to the quadcopter and GoPro, gives you a spare 2200mAh flight battery, a 32GB microSD card, and a watertight hard case to pack it all away and more in.
The DJI Phantom Quadcopter 1.1.1 is a quad-rotor RC helicopter that acts as an aerial platform for a GoPro HERO action camera. This product will appeal to a variety of potential users, from RC aircraft hobbyists seeking the ability to mount a camera so they can record their flights, to videographers and photographers looking to open up a whole new range of shooting possibilities. It can achieve a maximum horizontal flight speed of 33 ft/s and can ascend and descend at up to 20 ft/s. It comes with 2.4 GHz transmitter (hand-held radio controller) that features an operational range of up to 984' line-of-sight. The controller draws power from readily available AA batteries. Please note that many Wi-Fi systems, including the Wi-Fi used on GoPro HERO cameras, also operate on 2.4 GHz and may interfere with the transmitter. Take care to ensure the GoPro's Wi-Fi is turned off with operating this quadcopter.
The GoPro HERO4 Black Edition is included so you can actually capture aerial footage whether for recording, as an "eye-in-the-sky" to get the FPV (first person view) experience, or both. The Black Edition features 4K video capture at up to 30 fps, 2.7K capture at up to 50 fps, 1200 fps in Full HD 1080p, and can also take up to 12MP still photos. Internally, it records video and photos to a microSD memory card up to 64GB in capacity, and there is 32GB card included as part of the bundle. Although the HERO4 has built-in Wi-Fi, it is very important this feature is turned OFF while it is mounted on the Phantom 2. Otherwise the Wi-Fi can potentially interfere with the quadcopter's internal receiver causing the controls to become unresponsive.
Warning: Never use the DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter with your GoPro camera when both devices have their Wi-Fi systems turned on. The DJI Phantom 2's radio controller and the GoPro HERO4's Wi-Fi run on the same frequency, so if you use them together when both Wi-Fi systems are engaged, the DJI Phantom's transmitter will lose the ability to communicate with the DJI Phantom Quadcopter. Whenever this happens, you will not be able to tell the Phantom where to fly. This may result in loss of property or damage to your equipment.
