The 512GB Palm RAID Portable SSD from Akitio includes two 256GB mSATA SSDs in a device that can fit in a pocket. This portable drive connects to Mac and Window systems that have an available bus-powered Thunderbolt port. The drive offers read speeds of up to 713 MB/s and write speeds of up to 414 MB/s when software-configured in RAID 0, which provides the fastest performance, but which reduces the storage size in half.
