The 10x42 Endeavor ED II Binocular from Vanguard Optics features Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass and phase-corrected BaK4 prisms that work together to virtually eliminate chromatic aberration, which produces images with true color fidelity across the entire field of view and enhanced contrast. Complementing the glass and prisms are anti-reflection fully multicoated optics that improves light transmission for bright and clear images, with greater low-light performance.

An open-bridge design helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength, and provides a large surface area to hold. Pebbled rubber armoring helps to give protection from drops and impacts while helping to provide a non-slip grip. Designed for durability, the lightweight magnesium-alloy housing is nitrogen-filled and o-ring sealed for water and fogproof performance, and the 3-stage click-stop twist-up eyecups provide a custom-fit eye relief for use with or without eye-wear.

10x42 Endeavor ED II Binocular is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the price Already owned the 8x42 ED wife and I were always taking turns when viewing wildlife and birds etc. So decided to try the 10x EDII set. Just as with the 8x a very nice binocular. Vanguard binoculars were originally recommended to us by a family member that took a National Geography trip to the Galapagos Islands. We love these binoculars, image is so clear, quick to focus, exterior coating is easy/comfortable to grip, detachable strap is very handy. Now we each have a pair....when we go to the Tetons this autumn we won't have to be passing binoculars back and forth!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alaska Wildlife I purchased the bins for an upcoming 2 week land tour in south central and the interior parts of Alaska. This trip is yet to occur but I have taken these out and about in Ohio and my initial observation is that these will be well suited for wildlife observation. The wide angle seems to be effective for the field of view and they seem to be excellent when out about 100 to 200 yards. I have viewed some birds at around 30 to 50 yards and the clarity was amazing. I can't wait to use these in the wilds of Alaska!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected. We use these traveling and at home. We take them on expedition type trips for birding or boat trips. They are light enough that holding them for long periods of time is not a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased with the purchase Feels good in the hand, sturdy yet elegant, focuses well, it's been sunny the last few days so haven't tested it in poor light conditions, but appears to draw plenty of light. At the price it is available, I couldn't be more pleased

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True quality in optics. This binocular combines excellent optics with fine ergonomics and mechanical precision. I think it is a very good value at its price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great pair of binoculars I purchased these for a recent trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone NPs. They exceeded all my expectations. The view was extremely clear and several people who had other binocs and tried these commented how much better the view was through these. I found them very easy to focus and the relatively short amount of rotation of the focus wheel a plus for quickly bringing objects into focus. It did take some getting used to holding still enough to prevent the view from being jittery because of the higher magnification but after a little practice it was not a problem. The case is nice and the neck strap is very comfortable. Now just a few very minor complaints. As I have read and can confirm the binocs do not fit in the case with the eye cups extended. The instructions supplied are a joke, they leave out half the steps on how to set the diopter. The pics for attaching the strap are confusing so it took some trial and error to get it attached properly. Lastly the covers for the objective lenses are not really secured to the binocs or the case and one slipped off and was lost during a hike at Teton Pass. Don't let these minor complaints keep you from buying these binocs, they are meant more as just be aware. I feel these are probably the best bang for the buck binocs out there.
