The d:dicate 4015ER Wide Cardioid Microphone with Active Rear Cable from DPA is designed for capturing vocals, close miking instruments, amplifier cabinets, and similar sources in live sound reinforcement and recording applications. The microphone features a wide cardioid condenser element for minimizing off-axis noise and providing a linear tonal response, allowing you to pick up a broad sound field and accurately capture the full breadth of a performance. It is also suitable for unobtrusive spot miking, and its compact profile can be inconspicuously hung for recording orchestras or small ensembles. The 4015ER offers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and an MMP-ER active preamp that terminates in an XLR connector. The microphone is powered by 48V of phantom power and includes a SM4000-C suspension mount.
Wide cardioid polar pattern provides a compromise between omni and directional microphones
Equally suitable for close-up miking on acoustic guitar, grand piano, overheads, percussion, wind instruments, and vocals
Flat on-axis frequency response and maximum phase response
Linear off-axis characteristics
