The unit is operated by a front switch and a multi-function switch on the rear of the unit, which houses a 3.7-volt power pack. Runtimes range from 4 to 40 hours, depending on output setting. You will know your power status thanks to the battery power indicator, low-battery warning light, and charge indicator, and there's a Transportation Lock feature that prevents the lamp from being turned on inadvertently while in transit. My husband uses the headlamp at work. We permanently adhered it to his work helmet. It is bright, adjusts very easily, and the battery charging option is very economical. So far, we haven't had any problems with it.

I purchased a windfire headlamp from amazon and I had issues with the charger and the way the lamp was built, it felt really cheaply made. I returned it to get my money back, and once I did, I purchased the led lenser h14r.2, and I must say this product is the best. The item is a little pricy, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking to purchase a headlamp, I would highly recommend this product.

Well worth the money!! This headlamp is awesome. I like the adjustable brightness control. It is very comfortable to wear. I'm an automotive technician and I don't even feel it when I'm working. Comes with a rechargable lithium ion battery, excellent battery life. Very happy with the purchase!

I'm a mobile bus mechanic who works evenings and needed a powerful lamp for seeing into engine compartments and to keep me safe (visible) when doing roadside repairs. Regular flashlights weren't cutting it (I need my hands free!). This headlamp more than met my expectations! I took it with me out to my fiends wooded acreage and we were both wowed by how much light this thing puts out.

best I've owned so far

You don't have to be a scholar to use this headlight. Straight forward instructions make it easy to learn. The light and focus are outstanding. I have used it in the woods and also fixing a thing on my truck at night. Looking forward to the week in the woods this coming summer with this headlamp. I am recommending this lamp to my son who backpacks also.

Not as strong as expected

I already have a 500 lumens SureFire Maximus and expected to get better performance with quoted 800 lumens. I feel that SureFire is even stronger so I doubt the 800 lumens. Overall I like LedLenser products for its quality and durability. This product is no different.

question

Is it Intrinsically Safe?
Asked by: Anonymous
I'm not sure how to answer this It is not explosion-proof, i.e. cannot be used in an explosive environment. It is very secure on the head, with a top strap, and cannot slip down around the neck. I am a head-lamp aficionado of sorts and am very pleased with the product. It provides good illumination, particularly for work. I might use a lighter head-lamp for running, for example.

question

Is this an old version? The current model has 1000 lumens.
Asked by: Steven S.
The H14R.2 is 1000 Lumens. I think it is worth the approx. $120 as it can save you time and money in running lots of temporary lights in say a construction project or the like. Illumination, head strap, etc. are superior.
