Sony LCJRXF/B overview

  • 1Description

The black Premium Jacket Case for Cyber-shot RX100, RX100 II, RX100 III from Sony is a two-piece polyurethane case designed specifically for RX100, RX100 II, RX100 III, RX100 IV, RX100 V, and RX100 VI digital cameras. It has a snug, durable build to protect from scratches, the elements and damage from impact. The bottom half of the case screws into the camera's tripod socket and remains on the camera while shooting. The top half, which covers the lens, slips over the camera and attaches to the base with two snap buttons. The mounting screw features a female 1/4"-20 thread, allowing the camera to be mounted to a tripod with the jacket still attached. The Sony logo is embossed on the front of the jacket and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap attaches to the case's two strap lugs.

    Sony LCJRXF/B reviews

    Premium Jacket Case for Cyber-shot RX100, RX100 II, RX100 III, RX100 IV, RX100 V, RX100 VI (Black) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 86.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality. Scratches the camera It took me awhile to figure out how my camera gets scratched while its always in the case. The edge of the case, that surrounds the lens, isn't properly trimmed and its actually very sharp. I believe It was scratching the camera when I was taking it out of the case to replace a battery or to take a card out, since there is no dedicated opening for it at the bottom of the jacket. Poor quality, poor Q.C. and the camera scratched by a case that supposed to protect it from scratches. An absurd. I trimmed the sharp edges of it with a nailfile and it seems like ok now, but the scratch is there forever. Stay away or check yours for this particular flow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Case I'm happy with the way this case fits and protects my camera. I like that you can charge the camera without taking case off. I wish there was a way the case would snap onto itself so it didn't just hang while I'm taking pictures. With this case you need to decide if it's more important to have a case that stays attached while shooting or one that has some storage for a cord or extra SD card. I like the neck strap , which attaches to the case, but also left the wrist strap attached to the camera in case I detach the case while shooting. The wrist strap hangs out of the case without a problem. All in all I would recommend this case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have This is the perfect case. You get the case and the strap all in one. Just like the old retro cases for the 35mm cameras. You can take off the cover and use the camera and the bottom of the camera will always be protected. If you use the viewfinder you will have to turn it off before putting the cover. I use it without the cover, the bottom part for the most part. Only put the cover to store it. If you are not using it you can just put the whole thing in the backpack and it will be totally protected. This is a small camera and you get better grip if you have the strap around your neck. I feel more secure this way. There is a grip that you can buy but if you have the grip you can't have this case, it won't fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Read Before Using! The design of this case is faulty. The set screw holding the camera body to the case and strap works itself loose. I had a brand new RX100III crash to the ground first time out of the box. I retrofitted the bottom half of the case with a small metal key ring attaching the body of the camera via the tiny loop on the side to the metal strap loop on the case. I like the case and shoulder strap other than that fatal flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good solution but there is no 1 perfect case for all Its a nice fit for what it is. We dont leave it on - in fact half or more of the time we use a low end neopreen case instead. If you wanted just one case then I would pass on this and spend only 10-15 bucks on a small pouch or neopreen whatever. However when dressing as a tourist or person with small camera around neck at a party this is a really nice low profile and protective solution. If doing it again I might spend even more on a fancier real leather half case with fancier neck strap ...but for what it is ...5 stars and practical for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great case, but keep the attachment screw snug! I've used this case for six months now and I'm happy with it both in terms of convenience and protection provided. It beats pulling the camera out of a padded sack each time you use it. However, as another review cautioned here, the attachment screw does loosen gradually, and when it does, the camera will detach. In my case the drop didn't hurt the camera, but it taught me to check the screw and give it a little twist if needed every time you open the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the investment The quality of this Sony Premium Jacket Case is top notch. The leather and stitchings makes it almost feel it was hand made. It fits the Sony RX100 M4 like a glove. Very easy to remove the top cover and start shooting and it does not get in the way. NFC works just fine with the Jacket on. This is top product and I highly recommend it if you want to keep your Sony RX100 series protected. I must say that the case makes it also very easy to handle the camera as it adds extra grip to the small RX100 body. If you own a Sony RX100 camera series then do yourself a favour and get this case.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware It fits and feels great but when using the neck strap the set screw came loose after walking a few hundred yards and the camera fell to the ground! If there would be a way to attach the neck strap directly to the camera body it would be perfect. It is NOT SAFE to trust the camera hanging on your neck with the strap connected to this case with the front open ready to take a shot.
