SHILL Smartphone Mount Reviews

Works fine

This replaced a broken selfie stick mount and also works for those little camping tripods. Actually it will also screw onto a regular camera tripod for those holiday shots. Works well with a large phone like the Samsung s20.

I have a Nikon Z6 and I'm looking for a smartphone mount that could fit on my camera? Thank you!
Asked by: Patrick
If your smartphone is up to up to 3.25" in width, then yes, the SHILL Smartphone Mount may be used with your smartphone. However, if you wish to connect your smartphone to the hot shoe on the top of your Nikon Z6 Mirrorless Digital Camera, you would also need an adapter such as the Revo Hot Shoe to 1/4"-20 Male Post Adapter, B&H # RESACS14M, for your usage needs.

question

Does the mount leave the entire screen side unobstructed? If you're doing manual stuff with Filmic Pro or really anything but full auto, it would be a huge problem if those straps or whatever were in the way.
Asked by: Matt
I haven't had any problems on my iPhone 6, though I haven't tried it without the protective case I use (Body Glove). The lens on my phone is far enough in form the corner that it doesn't dirty the shot.

question

The photo shows the phone mounted horizontally. Will it hold it vertically?
Asked by: Harry S.
It would depend what you were attaching the mount to. It has a 1/4 twenty threaded screw in the bottom. I use it seated on a tripod. In this configuration there is no vertical option really. However, if you attached it to a magic arm or something like a joby gorillapod, then you could easily adjust the saddle into a vertical alignment.
