Kino Flo SYS-4801-120U overview

  • 1Description

With its slender profile and remote ballast the 1-light 4' Single System from Kino Flo is well-suited to placement in tight quarters where many other fixtures can't go. The system includes the Single fixture with a louver (grid), a mounting plate with 3/8" pin, 25' extension cord, and a single ballast.

With its built-in barndoors, slim profile, and light weight, the single fixture can easily be screwed or even taped to a wall or other surface. One of the best attributes of the fixture is the ability to separate the lamp harness from the body and reflector to place just the optional lamp in hard-to-reach places as far as 75' away with the purchase of two optional 25' extension cords. The single ballast features universal voltage for worldwide use, instant-on capability, and a high output setting to raise or drop the wattage in the tube for light output and color control.

Kino Flo SYS-4801-120U reviews

Single System (4') is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid workhorse in a slimmer lighter configuration. I've got 3 other kinos...but never any singles (other than a 9 mini flo). I can't believe I've waited so long before buying one. There are tons of situations where I just want a single (for fill, for an eyelight, a bg light, or a lightweight backlight for menace arms or just arming out on a c-stand). For backlight, b/c of the size and weight of 4 banks, more often than not, I've just used 150/650/1k fresnels...but there is something really subtle with a kino is wide (4'), so it wraps really well and isn't as harsh. Since it's much smaller, it fits tucked up above frame much better than other kinos. I'll buy at least one more within the year.
