The black SE3S-304 Security Transmitter from Bosch is used by security personnel and operates at a frequency of 304 MHz. It works in the same manner as normal transmitters during testing. That is, the strobes flash on alert units and green lights flash on receivers to confirm a successful test. When a security transmitter is tested near a receiver, the central console can record the location of the officer and the time of the test. This can be used to generate a Guard Tour Report.
The security transmitter also differs in the way alarms are managed. No sound is emitted from the transmitter itself, no sounders are activated on receivers, and no strobes or sirens are activated. The console in the security office displays the alarm as usual except for a yellow background and a text warning that the event is a Silent Alarm. This allows security personnel to call for assistance without attracting unwanted attention.
Manual Duress Alarm
Squeeze the two buttons on the transmitter to send an alarm. During the alarm, the transmitter automatically continues to transmit every 7 seconds, providing information about the most current location.
The protocol consists of redundant packets of information, which is sent at the maximum power allowed by FCC. The protocol contains a unique 24-bit transmitter identification for 16,000,000 different identification codes.
You can use the test mode test the transmitter anywhere in the protected area. When the user (subscriber) sees an indoor receiver or an outdoor strobe, the user can press the manual test button to perform a test. A small green light flashes on an indoor receiver or the strobe flashes during a successful test. The visual indicators (flashing green light or strobe light) are absent when the test fails. The central console software records the successful tests in the subscriber (user) database. The information can be printed on an optional printer. In addition, the test transmitter can be attached to a keychain (not included).
Low Battery Indication
When the transmitter's battery needs replacing, the test signal includes a low battery message to the central console. The central console software records the low battery messages in the subscriber (user) database. The information can be printed on an optional printer.
The subscriber (user) database contains user information, including the date and time of the most recent transmitter test. You can search the subscriber (user) database to find people who neglected to test their transmitters within a specified time period.
