The black 10x42 Rainforest Pro Waterproof Binocular from Meade combine optical technologies with light-gathering ability to create an observing tool that will perform well from dawn to dusk and in all weather conditions. Phase corrected BAK 4 prisms and anti-reflection fully multicoated optics maximize the light that enters the 42mm objectives to produce images that are bright and clear with true high-contrast color. A 51.7° apparent field of view provides expansive views on the trail, on the hunt, or at the stadium. Its nitrogen-filled optical tubes ensure that they won't fog with temperature fluctuation. The Rainforest Pro features an o-ring sealed waterproof aluminum alloy housing that is covered with a textured rubberized armor to protect it from drops and impacts while providing a non-slip grip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent choice ! Bought 10x42 rainforest pro after reading best value binocular under $ . The Best buy was the 8x42 for bird watching as I am doing around my condo in Delray Beach, but this model was, maybe because of his popularity, longer to deliver and has deliver fees compare to the 10x42 that was free. So I decided to order the latter after comparing the spectres where ther was not much difference. Yes, the 10 makes the view a little bit too long if you watching close but the binocular is very precise and stable, making the experience very positive and gives you a little room extra if you want to watch polo or the crocodile in the pound at the end of the land.May be a little bit difficult to adjust if you wear glasses but still offer very good view. For the price, it's hard to get any better. If you are new at wanting a good binocular , that's the one no doubts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tremendous value for the money I purchased two pairs of Meade Rainforest binoculars, both 10x42 and 8x42. I did this because the Binocularsreview website voted these as the best value for the money bins for 2015 and also praised the optic quality as being equal to more expensive bins. I strongly recommend reading their review. I would normally use the 8x42 as my preferred bins but at this price why not also pick up both? I am very pleased with the image quality, quality of build and ergonomic feel of these bins. Meade is a company well known internationally for their telescopes so they certainly would have an understanding of optics and have put together an incredible value for the money with the Rainforest Pro series. I use the 8x42 much more as I live in an area of forests and hills. If I lived in a desert or prairie area then I'd probably prefer use the 10x42 more. I could afford a pair of high end Euros if I really wanted, but that makes no sense to me when you consider the high quality optics made in China for a fraction of the price. Plus if these were ever lost, broke or stolen its no big deal to replace them. I'm just not going to drop a couple of grand for a pair Austrian/German bins when my Meades will do 95% of what they do for a fraction of the price. I'm very pleased with the optic quality. All that's missing is ED glass, but at this price its no big deal. Again, I recommend reading the thorough review on the binocularsreview site.
