The black 7x50 TravelView Binocular from Meade features large objectives and a porro prism optical design that offer bright and clear views with a rich depth of field not normally seen in comparable roof prim binoculars. Complementing the objectives and prism configuration are anti-reflection multicoated optics that maximize the light coming into the user's eyes. Its aluminum housing is covered in a rubberized armor to help protect it from drops and impacts, while the fold-down rubber eyecups make it comfortable to use with or without eye wear. Since the large objectives add weight to the binocular, it can be mounted on tripod using an optional adapter for long glassing sessions.

7x50 TravelView Binocular (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Optics The finish is nice, the optics are beautiful, the focusing ring is very good. This is the best $ 25 I've spent in years. I should take off 1 star because the advertised Standard 1/4-20 Tripod Mount is nowhere to be found on this item, but the clarity of the image and the colors are just so good that, for the price, the 5 stars are well deserved. The binoculars do not have a carry strap although there are rings on the binoculars to attach one. The soft-fabric carrying pouch has a carry strap attached.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality We have used the Meade 7x50 TravelView Binoculars to view the night sky. I find the image to be bright, crisp, and clear. Another thing I like is the light weight. We have already had two observing sessions and look forward to more discovery of the stars. We are looking forward to using them at the beach when we go there very soon. I recommend them highly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a keeper. Received the 2 binoculars I ordered from B+H today. After a quick view with both, was ready to send them both back almost immediately. The Meads were as nice as I could have hoped for. Solid well made, smooth focus etc.. But...alignment of the optics was WAY off. Being a qual.tech.for over 40 years, I decided to give it a close inspection just before boxing it back up. Pulled out my eye loupe and closely inspected all lenses for noticeable defects. All good there. Then I saw it. The two front barrels are separate units that are threaded and screwed into the body. Left was fine, flush to the body. Right side was cocked, one side touching, other side had a gap about .05 to .070 wide. Big enough to see the threads. Placed objectives flush to a flat wall easily showed a problem. Knowing that it didn't have nitrogen purging I started to unscrew the barrel. Immediately new it was cross threaded. If you know how to properly thread male to female, You put light pressure onto the 2 pieces and turn backwards till you feel the threads drop into place then screw it together. Any drag means it may still be cross threaded. It worked. Barrel screwed in smoothly and ended up flush all the way around. Viewing now showed perfect alignment. Very impressed with the optics, eye relief etc. The best $ dollar binocs I've ever seen. Mine did have a strap. not attached but in a tiny bag about the size of a quarter. Easy to miss and get thrown out with the packing materials. Yes the front and rear lens caps are too loose and easily fall off. Easy to fix with some small pieces of electrical tape added to inside edges to fit as tight as you want.(Doesn't stick too well to plastic though. will have to experiment a little.)Very happy with them now and will keep them. I've dealt with B+H many times, and have never had any fear in having to return something to them. Fast delivery. Thank again B+H. As for Meade, well I've got many Meade products all very nice quality, solid and very good optics. A bit of a surprise for me.
