The black 10x50 TravelView Binocular from Meade features large objectives and a porro prism optical design that offer bright and clear views with a rich depth of field not normally seen in comparable roof prim binoculars. Complementing the objectives and prism configuration are anti-reflection multicoated optics that maximize the light coming into the user's eyes. Its aluminum housing is covered in a rubberized armor to help protect it from drops and impacts, while the fold-down rubber eyecups make it comfortable to use with or without eye wear. Since the large objectives add weight to the binocular, it can be mounted on tripod using an optional adapter for long glassing sessions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I bought both Meade and Celestron 10x50's to compare Celestron: B&H # CEG210X50UCB Meade: B&H # ME10X50TVB Price diff at B&H: 27 cents as I write. FOV stated: C 6.8 deg, M 5.8 deg, but looking at a fence, I couldn't see any difference in the number of slats I could see. Otherwise, it was hard to tell them apart except in one major area: The Celestron can take a tripod mount, and the Meade can't, so big advantage, Celestron.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For the dollar paid, amazing item. This is a decent, but not high-end set of glasses. At $25.00 it should not be this good, It really should be garbage at this absurd low price, but actually is fairly nice optics you get here for casual seeing by non-critical users. They work just fine. Clear in the center, but if you glance your eyes to the edges it blurs a bit. But you don't use these in that way. You really keep your gaze at the center of the image so these work fine for anyone but a stickler of moderate critical personality. (or a real Geek for quality) Yes, I own a pair of Zeiss 10x40's and they are better, but not 30 times the cost better! So, for the price these are a bargain, get a set for the car or boat or like I did, just to give away to a buddy without a pair of binocs. I was so curious how good they can make these at $25.00 and I found out, pretty good for the cash spent. I recommend these as a buy because $25.00 is nothing anymore. These are the price of dinner and they will be around next month and dinner won't. Order them!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality Problems I have used Meade products for decades (telescopes, eyepieces, etc). I banked on my history with them, but this product was a disappointed. Ordered three binoculars for the solar eclipse. Two were faulty. One was unculminated. The other had a main barrel cross threaded! Wow, how does that pass quality control? I have lost a lot of faith in the Meade company. To their credit, Meade did replace them under warranty with two that work (hence I did not give it one star).
