question

have 2012 late Mac book pro retina 13 , will this 1TB SSD work for it? and what's involved to install & transfer the system and data on it? is there instructions?
Asked by: charlie y.
Yes, this drive is compatible with the Late 2012 Retina Macbook Pro. Using the included Envoy enclosure, you would use a disk cloning software such as Carbon Copy Cloner to copy all of the data to the new drive and then replace the internal drive with the new one.

(1) I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013) and believe this SSD is compatible, correct? (2) Is this a kit that comes with the SSD plus the necessary screwdrivers to open the computer? I see the screwdrivers in the photo but no written confirmation that they are included. Thanks!
Asked by: Charity
To be certain I would need the computer's serial number.

question

Will this fit in 2012 21.5 iMac? My logic board has the ssd connector.
Asked by: Anonymous
According to the manufacturer of this particular SSD, the Aura series of SSDs are for Mac laptops that come with an original Apple SSD. After you've swapped out the drive you put the Apple SSD inside the Envoy enclosure to be used as an external drive for additional storage. Your iMac will have a regular sized hard drive/SSD connector and requires a different model. I would suggest that you do some quick research on the maker's site. They have an easy method to find the right model for specific Macs. Find the right model that will work in your iMac before ordering it from BHPV. I must say that the upgrade was, for me, quite an astounding speed change. Good Luck!

question

I am trying to run Adobe After Effects on a 2013 MacBook Pro. Having issues do to the gpu. Will this help solve that?
Asked by: Anonymous
I do not expect that this will fix any problems that are related to the GPU being a roadblock. I would consider this nothing other than a bigger drive inside the MacBook.
