Designed for today's large aperture mirrors and CCD imaging sensors, Tele Vue's 3" BIG Paracorr Type-2 Imaging Adapter corrects image-coma common with large fast focal ratio Newtonian and Dobsonian mirrors that prevent pin-point clarity during astrophotography and astro-imaging. The 3" barrel enables a larger field angle and reduces or eliminates vignetting when using CCD chips as large as 52mm diagonal.

Its back focal length is set to 3.1" (8 cm) to allow for additional accessories to be placed in the optical path without effecting overall performance. The optical assembly is topped with a "stop" flange and 3.4"-24 threads to mount a variety of equipment. When using a 35mm format DSLR camera, the adapter will accept Tele Vue imaging system accessories.
