FotodioX Excell+1 Canon FD Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Adapter
Key Features
  • Canon FD Lens to MFT Camera
  • Integrated Light Focusing Optic
  • Increases Maximum Aperture by 1 f/Stop
  • Increases Angle of View by 0.72x
Enabling the use of your Canon FD-mount lenses on a Micro Four Thirds camera body, this Excell+1 Lens Adapter from Fotodiox additionally helps to increase the effective maximum aperture of your lens, gain a wider field of view, and maintain infinity focus. By incorporating a light focusing optic into this adapter's design, a magnification factor of 0.72x is applied to render a 50mm focal length lens as a 36mm lens, which then provides a 72mm equivalent focal length in conjunction with the Micro Four Thirds crop factor. This optic also condenses light in order to gain an additional stop of light, which effectively renders your f/2.8 lens as an f/2 lens.

This adapter also features a built-in iris control ring, which allows you to adjust the size of the adapter's iris opening to affect exposure or adjust depth of field. The adapter is constructed from brass and features stainless steel finishing, and a leaf spring design is used to secure the lens in place and to ensure no play between the lens, adapter, and camera body. The adapter is fully manual and does not transmit any electronic functions between the lens and camera, and requires stop-down metering for use.

question

Hi,will these work on a Olympus Em5 MARK II ? some adapters brand like metabones make an specific version for Olympus OM-D E-M1, E-M5 and E-M10 cameras as well as the Panasonic GH4, GH3, GH2, GH1 cameras and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera..has some body use the excell +1 in one of those? Thanks!
Asked by: fernando E.
I am using the adapter on a Panasonic g1 camera and it fits good seems like it's well made. But with my fast lenes 1.2 and 1.4 it seems to cause ghost images when these lenses are wide open. The manufacturer warns about this on there web site. If you stop down your lens it goes away. Seems to me that there is so much light with faster lenses that this older sensor can't handle all the light!

Does this work with a canon EF lens?

This adapter will not work with Canon EF lenses. For a Canon EF to Micro Four Thirds Adapter, take a look at the FotodioX Canon EF Pro Lens Adapter with Built-In Iris Control for Micro Four Thirds Cameras: http://bhpho.to/1eZXQqf
