The Xpander Rackmount 2 Gen 3 PCIe Expansion Enclosure from Cubix enables connection of graphics or other controllers to a host computer. The host must have a PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 expansion slot available for the Host Interface Controller (HIC). This Rackmount 2 provides two PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slots and connects to an HIC in one host computer, providing the full, theoretical connection transfer rate of 128.0 Gb/s.

With an HIC installed, a single host computer can support two double-wide GPUs inside the Xpander. This rackmount provides two PCIe Gen 3 x16 slots for GPUs, PCIe flash memory, or other PCIe adapters with multiple Input/Output (I/O) ports such as FireWire, USB 2.0, or High-Definition (HD) audio. You can use NVIDIA CUDA-enabled GPUs for 3D rendering, visualization walls, or high-performance computing.
