Cooler Master HAF 912 overview

  • 1Description

The HAF 912 Mid Tower Desktop Case from Cooler Master offers ample space to house and cool all your PC components. Overheating can cause computer parts to fail, so Cooler Master has built two case fans into the case. In addition, the housing has space to accommodate four more. This case supports a micro-ATX or ATX sized motherboard. The interior offers different ways to house all your PC components. It can be configured to support PCI cards up to 15.4" long instead of 10.6", or it can hold seven 3.5" drives instead of six. The plastic and mesh front bezel features a design with rugged looks and the case itself is made from steel that will not easily bend when installing computer parts.

Components within the case generate heat and to cool the system, cool air must be drawn in from the front and side. Hot air is then pulled out from the back and top. In the front of the case one fan is installed to pull cool air in, and a second fan installed in the rear to draw out hot air. Depending on how many drives and graphic cards are installed, optional fans may be installed in the front and to the side to directly cool additional devices. Space for two optional top fans is also available. The case features dust filters in the front and bottom to help prevent dust from getting in. To allow proper airflow, Cooler Master provides space to tuck cables away and has notches to tie cables closer to the sides. This case also supports water-cooling technologies by providing two water-cooling outlets and a retaining hole for the radiator cables.

This case supports multiple 5.25" and 3.5" or 2.5" devices. Four 5.25" drive bays can house optical drives or card readers, and one can be converted to hold a 3.5" drive. Six 3.5" storage drives can be added, and two can be converted to hold 2.5" drives. Two drive bays are dedicated to storing 2.5" drives. In addition, the case features one vertical expansion slot and seven horizontal ones for supporting PCI cards.

Supports 10.6" graphic cards such as the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 480. Removing the 3.5" hard drive cage allows you to install graphic cards up to 15.4".

    Cooler Master HAF 912 reviews

HAF 912 Mid Tower Desktop Case is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of room I was not sure what to expect at this price point. The case is very large but I wanted a non crowded case to allow clean wiring and several drives. I am very pleased with the metal quality and room inside. The fans supplied are very quiet. The outside look is nice also, if this case meets your requirements go for it you won't be sorry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good enough for the price I built my first PC with this case and chose it for its' practical features. I was able to remove the SSD bay and a large HDD bay which allowed more airflow. The case isn't pretty and I wish they had provided rubber grommets for better cable management (although they did provide them for liquid cooling tubes in back). The front small 4 panels (optical drive location) tend to fall off easily. The front panel in general is flimsy so don't expect it to withstand much force or pressure. The case was not packed with much care by the manufacturer. I found pieces floating around including broken pieces. Nothing that mattered was broken so I just shrugged it off. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase for the price but will probably spend more on my next build for better features and a higher quality design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of space inside.. I have 5 HDDs, 1 SSD, and a Blu-ray Drive and the problem I keep having with other cases is the lack of room, everything fits of course but it's shoved in and not clean. This case is wider than most mid-tower cases so you have the ability to route really thick cables behind the motherboard, it also features quick snap-in HDD holders with 6 bays total. There is a 2 drive 2.5 bay on the bottom of the case but I removed that so my power supply cables could fit. I'm really impressed with the build quality and more importantly how everything fits so well. It's kind of like buying an SUV instead of a car, it's bigger but worth it. My one complaint (doesn't matter for me right now) is that the top USB are 2.0 and not 3.0. I know it's a base model of this line but still. If you want a lot of room this case rocks with excellent airflow this case rocks. It also looks subtle but cool, it's not crazy looking but has a style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great case for the dollar If you want a case with superior features without hurting your pockets this is the way to go! Everything fit just right. Tons of fan options which is what I wanted. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice case for the price I'm giving it a four star because the case buttons seem to be kinda cheap but in all the case is very nice and very spacious and the spots for cords are very open.
