CRU-DataPort 36020-3010-0100 overview

  • 1Description

The ToughTech Duo 3SR 2-Bay 2.5" SATA Portable Enclosure from CRU-DataPort is designed to be a safe and secure backup solution for images, recording sessions, and all your other important data. Its rugged portability makes the ToughTech Duo 3SR suitable for storing data on the set or on-the-go and then tossing it into a bag for travel back to the studio. It is made from strong aluminum that helps provide reliable and continuous data storage in either RAID 0 or RAID 1 mode. So, you can have one large drive or two exact copies of your data made at once. Its solid construction protects your drives and data so that you won't have to worry about losing a shot or important file.

When you need more storage space, it's easy to swap out the current drives and put new ones into the enclosure. You won't need any tools, either. The drives are lockable if you want to secure them inside. This enclosure has fast connection options for your PC or Mac, including USB 3.0 and eSATA for speedy data transfer. You can use the intuitive menu to display drive temperatures and the status of your RAID configuration.

Note: RAID by itself is not an adequate backup strategy.

    CRU-DataPort 36020-3010-0100 reviews

ToughTech Duo 3SR 2-Bay 2.5" SATA Portable Enclosure is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sketchy little raid This was gifted to me. I hate it. its always dropping connection. sometimes when I backup with chronosync it just stops and says I didnt disconnect properly and then auto reconnects. I tried trasnferring everything off of it and it wont let me because some -36 error for individual files. I put one of the drives in a separate enclosure and it worked so it was not the WD drives that were in there. When it comes to asset management, this is't what you wanna risk your data on. I will say this unit is from a few years ago and this problem happened out of box. so maybe they improved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I purchased this as my big solution for picture storage along with a separate spin hard drive for older projects. It works seamlessly, does not heat up, and is super compact for portability (should I need it). Note that it does not come with the drives, those need to be purchased separately and for 500GB of SSD it's about $ each. Highly recommended!
