So far so good.

So far the d-ring is holding up ok and we figure the d-ring is just for an emergency when you don't happen to have a coin or screwdriver present for a more rock-solid connection. The metal seems good quality. I wish Manfrotto would sell the version that they have beneath their Arca Swiss plate (as seen on the right in the photo). It's got a wire for the d-ring which seems more solid and it's definitely easier to get more leverage for a solid connection.

No more fumbling!

I use this for keeping my flash secured to a flash bracket. Using this I don't have to worry about having a coin to tighten it up or looking for my glasses to make sure I get the coin lined up correctly with the slot on the screw. I love this things!

The Ring is much to small to clip my Camera strap. My clip looks like a lobster claw, about 3/16th of an inch thick.

Nice, but...

I bought this to replace the screws in the Manfrotto 200PL-Pro Aluminum Plate 200PL-PRO because the D-Ring in those require prying sometimes. These it swivels so freely. However! The downside is I can't use them without a very thin washer. The screw is too long that it goes into the camera, but there is space. This is because the camera (R5/R plus grips) may not be deep enough, but they've been in the business pretty long so they sort of standardize their products. This screw would be amazing and perfect if it was about 2 mm shorter for my needs. Which makes this somewhat of a personal limitation, but I'm afraid it may affect others as well so that's why I'm giving my experience.

Gets the job done

Needed a taller screw. This worked perfect but the d-ring is kinda big so had to break it off

Will this work with the Davis & Sanford Traverse TR-553-228 Compact Aluminum Tripod with Ball Head?
Asked by: Douglas C.
This screw is compatible only with Oben RP quick release plates, Induro PH and PU series plates or Manfrotto 200PL plates. Since the Davis and Sanford Traverse TR-533-228 uses a proprietary quick release, it will not be compatible.
