This V-Mount Plate from Wooden Camera connects a V-mount battery to your Sony a7, a7R, a7S, a7R II, a7S II, or other Alpha series cameras. The V-mount battery's power is greater than the camera's standard battery, providing a longer runtime. The plate connects to the camera via a dummy battery, attached to an integrated 16" cable. Wooden Camera 181200 Overview

This V-Mount Plate from Wooden Camera connects a V-mount battery to your Sony a7, a7R, a7S, a7R II, a7S II, or other Alpha series cameras. The V-mount battery's power is greater than the camera's standard battery, providing a longer runtime. The plate connects to the camera via a dummy battery, attached to an integrated 16" cable. A built-in regulator ensures that the correct voltage is delivered to the camera. The plate also features two D-Tap ports that provide 12 to 16V of power for accessories.

The V-Mount Plate may be mounted on your rig using a Wooden Camera's Battery Slide mounting adapter (sold separately). It can also be mounted like any standard V-mount plate.

Plenty of space for a rigged FS7

I use this with a Rokinon prime mounted on camera, a Chrosziel mattebox and follow focus, and an Odyssey 7Q+ recorder in a shape cage - all on a Zacuto recoil plate. Fits great and leaves room for two padded lens cases in the bag behind a partition. It's solid, has a fair amount of pockets for extra cables/accessories. The only con is that it's enormous, so not the easiest thing to rush through a doorway with... But if you need to keep an FS7 built and ready to shoot, that's also a pro.

would this work with a7ii?

All the a7 cameras share the same battery so yes this will work on the a7II.

How can you mount this to a 15mm rod setup?

Hi Michel. To mount this battery plate to 15mm rods, you would first need to attach it to our Battery Slide (<a href= https://www.woodencamera.com/battery-slide-p/156600.htm target= _blank >https://www.woodencamera.com/battery-slide-p/156600.htm</a>). From there, you can install our Rod Clamp (15mm LW) (<a href= https://www.woodencamera.com/rod-clamp-15mm-lw-p/150200.htm target= _blank >https://www.woodencamera.com/rod-clamp-15mm-lw-p/150200.htm</a>), which will allow you to slide the configuration onto 15mm rods. You can also consider attaching the battery plate to our Battery Swing (<a href= https://www.woodencamera.com/battery-swing-p/245700.htm target= _blank >https://www.woodencamera.com/battery-swing-p/245700.htm</a>), which has a rod clamp pre-installed.
