    easyCover ECC6DB reviews

Silicone Protection Cover for Canon EOS 6D (Black) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cover fits perfectly The cover fits perfectly on the 6D and spaces are adequate to allow manual use of the controls and access for the tripod etc. It will provide extra protection from shock if dropped and some extra protection from the elements of weather. Grip is somwwhat enhanced by the material used for the cover. The buttons take a little extra pressure to operate and the labeling on the button functions is a bit hard to read in limited lighting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from must have It definitely extends the camera lifetime I wanted to use this with my battery grip so I had to do a little trimming to make it fit. Overall, happy with the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as I would have hoped The item fits pretty well, was easy to put on the camera, but my biggest complaint is that without some modification (cutting away at the bottom) my VCG cannot screw in completely and make contact with the operation pins. The buttons are much harder to depress, as one would imagine, but if depression divots were added, this could be alleviated. I am still considering returning them (I purchased one for my 5D also), but I am one who will keep something just in case it ever comes in handy (like at a beach or on vacation). I would definitely not use this on a daily basis, as it takes away many convenience factors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A qualifed disappointment I can see how it would be nice to have this cover on in the rain or if I were to drop my camera. However, I wish I had the time to return it. The 6D is a perfect fit in my hand--steady, solid, and comfortable. This product ruins the fit. It makes the camera feel bulky and worst of all, its slick. I fear I will drop the camera more often with this product on. Selection wheels are also harder to operate.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great except for one significant thing The cover fit well and looked great. However I returned it because in the areas where buttons are located on the camera, the buttons in the cover have symbols molded into them with no text and they are difficult to see if you have trouble with your near vision. And, this is even worse in dark environments. Additionally, the material this is made from has a smokey odor that was a bit annoying. I would have been Ok with the odor if the symbols over the buttons had a white inlay painted to display the symbols more clearly. I know, I'm supposed to know all the buttons by heart, but I don't.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This Offers Great Camera Protection and Just Looks Cool! This is an inexpensive, cool-looking way to protect your camera.  I bought one in red and one in black so that I could easily differentiate between camera bodies on the fly. My only complaint is this.  If you use a battery grip (and I do, on both cameras) these wont work until you trim them down so that the battery grip can seat against the bottom of the camera.  While it took me all of 5 minutes to trim and fit both covers, there was NOTHING in the instructions that addressed this.  Only when I went to the EasyCover website did I learn of this. Add a sentence or two to the instructions, EasyCover!  I almost returned these to B&H thinking they werent going to work! Still, all in all, I love these!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not the best fit not the best fit for 6D. bummed that the single most accessed control (the dial) fails to move freely when covered. the cutout on top is slightly off mark, creating friction when turning. tried stretching and repositioning but failed; a small precise cut could do it .... should provide basic protection at this annoying cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slick surface insurance I use this easyCover in combination with a LensCoat Body Guard camera case to protect my camera when I carry it loose in a daypack. I have ditched bulky cases so that I can fit more of my extra layers, food, etc... in my hiking backpack, and leave my camera near the top so it's accessible for chance photos (e.g. wildlife). Contrary to other ratings, I thought the cover was very easy to install, and it was flexible enough bend around a quick release tripod plate. The rubber doesn't add much bulk or weight, and will obviously protect the some of the camera from light bumps or dings. Cons: -Very slippery texture, even after buffed with fine sand paper. -Lots of unnecessary cut-outs that could have provided additional protection (e.g. Canon logo). -Eliminates ability to feel the half-press on the shutter button (you can notch that out though with an exacto blade) -somewhat buries the adjustment knob in front of the shutter (makes it impossible to feel with gloves) -included screen protectors aren't as nice as other available glass static protectors. But I'm being picky, because, for me, it's STILL much better to have this on and protect the camera. When I upgrade cameras, I'll buy another easyCover.
