The Lomography Belair X 6-12 Jetsetter Medium Format Camera Kit with the X 6-12 35mm Back combines a folding medium format film camera that is capable of shooting in 6 x 12, 6 x 9, and 6 x 6 formats with an interchangeable back that allows you to make panoramic images with standard 35 mm film.
The Belair Jetsetter utilizes an electronic automatic exposure shutter to provide accurate, consistent exposure results or, for more creative results, a bulb setting is available for making long exposures. A multiple exposure mode is also available for building up several exposures within a single frame.
While the camera supports the use of the large 120 film format, it also has a relatively compact form-factor due to its integration of a bellows to afford a collapsible design. The Jetsetter edition of the Belair X 6-12 series is constructed from silver metal with a brown leather wrap for a durable, classic appearance.
The Belair X 6-12 supports an interchangeable lens design, and comes with two different lenses to provide both normal and wide-angle perspectives. The 90mm lens has a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 32mm in the 6 x 12 format while the 58mm lens has a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 21mm in the 6 x 12 format. Both lenses have a maximum aperture of f/8 and support a four-step zone focus system for straight-forward, simple focusing.
The interchangeable 35mm Back allows you to replace the medium-format back of the Belair in order to use your favorite 35mm (135 size) film as it is exposed at the 120 film width (12 cm), creating an image with a wider frame ratio. The Belair 35 mm Back allows exposure of images that measure 104 x 33 mm, including the sprocket holes, for a creative look. A roll of 36-exposure film will yield 11-12 panoramic photographs. You can also do multiple exposures with this back.
