2.5" Aluminum USB 3.0 SATA III SSD Hard Drive Enclosure is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comes with everything you need to assemble it. I got this as a solution to house one of my spare HDD's. Looks good. The brushed aluminum makes it feel really premium. The one thing that stopped me from giving it a better rating is that only after a short period of use, the USB 3.0 connector to the housing has started loosen up and doesn't hold the cable's connector as well. I can see in future I'm going to have to be careful not to bump it. It also does get warm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Perfect for Data Migration I used it in conjunction with a newly bought Samsung SSD. The caddy connected without a glitch to the USB3 of a 2012 Window 7 (64) laptop. Cloning my old hard-drive onto the new was successful. My only grind is with removal of the cloned SSD from the enclosure. Unless I'm not understanding this removal process correctly, you have to get the SSD to tilt out of its drawer at a 15 degree angle and then pull it out from the Startech SATA connectors. Major risk of damaging connectors and your precious SSD here. My rating reflects this part of the process. I still recommend this enclosure because maybe there exists a safe way to remove your hard-drive. Personally, I broke the front grill wide open, so now sliding out any hard-drive from this enclosure is super easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Virtual Safe I was very pleased with the StarTech SSD enclosure. It was what I hoped it would be, small light & securely containing my 240 GB SanDisk SSD hard drive. While the SSD drives are fairly rugged by themselves, this case will protect it form most external problems that might occur. Good protection for an on the road Hard Drive. It booted up at the fist time it was connected & each time since, no connectivity problems at all.
