NVIDIA 32GB SHIELD 8" Tablet (4G LTE, Unlocked, Black) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Worst tablet ever I bought 1 month ago, and now the baterry is swollen like a balloon. Why do you need a tablet of that power if you do not have a good battery. Also, the Customer Service of NVIDIA is the worst, they do not care about their customers, they only see you as a dollar with legs. I am sad because I spent $ in the combo pack, for barely 1 month of use. I do not recommend this product although it is powerful, mainly because of the poor construction quality, the battery is really a disaster and NVIDIA as a company is a huge dissapointment. Seriously, this was my first and last product from NVIDIA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shield, or, a shield with a stylus Strong product offering, though slightly higher on price than close competitors. Stylus was the buying point. May be nostalgic for those who grew up with palmtops, palm pilots, etc. Works well, in the most updated Android OS. Functionality is iffy in the as-boxed version of the OS. It's marketed as 'unlocked', but it comes with AT&T branded software/bloatware that cannot be gently removed. You may not want to use rooting methods to remove, since you may jeopardize the ability to update to newest Android OS offerings. AT&T bloatware appears to become a hidden background 'widget' in the newest Android OS. All in all, a great product at a great price, when bundled with the controller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent so far It has hdmi support unlike the Samsung Galaxy tab 4. I can mirror my tablet to my TV. I upgraded the Kitkat version of Android that it shipped with to Lollipop with ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tablet for games and multimedia I use the Shield for recording demos, drawing, and general internet. The included drawing software is buggy, but it works great in other ways. I'm very happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tablet, Excellent graphics Great android tablet for price, handles video games pretty good and of course regular apps on play store. Both cameras have great quality, skype works like a charm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the Gamers on the go! Without any doubt, it's one of the most powerful gaming tablet right now. The great thing also is that Nvidia has very good support and the latest Android OS was available a few days after Google released Lollipop, the latest OS. The only main negative that I have against it is that the maximum battery life is around less than 6 hours if you use it to browse the internet on the go with the appropriate micro simcard internet broadband capabilities. And if you game, battery life is around 3 to 4 hours or less. Furthermore since I'm from Australia, and in the state of Victoria, the only internet provider that works with the 4G speed is Vodafone, whereas with Optus and Telstra you only get the much slower 3G connection. I originally thought that all the major telecom here in Melbourne, would support the 4G bandwidth that this Nvidia Shield has but it seems that Vodafone is the only one, and Vodafone is definitely not as good as Telstra or Optus for fast 4G internet connection. Hope this information will help my fellow Australians who are thinking or planning to buy it. Anyway, I would certainly recommend this tablet to anyone who's looking for a portable and powerful gaming tablet on the go.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So very let down by this tablet I had bought this tablet to use as the monitor for my DJI inspire 1. on paper the tablet is a beast, in reality it is an indoor kitten. All of the features sound great, but the reality falls short of the hype. Would be a great tablet if all you were planning on doing with it was sitting inside playing games on it. The tablet as is was no where near capable of meeting my needs due to the screen quality which was so poor that even in the shade and overcast conditions with a sun hood the screen was barely visible. The second major problem is that the tablet would drop the sim card every 15-30 minutes. The only way to get it to work is turning off the tab, removing the sim card, turning the tab back on then off again, putting the sim card back in, then turning the tab back on. I was told by Nvidia tech support that it was a software issue. Shortly after calling tech support 7 updates were released, I installed the updates, but continued to have the problems. I have since returned the tablet for a refund and for the 1st time in my life I am buying an apple product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tablet of 2014 A perfect example of how to make a highly portable tablet which is good to excellent at all things. As a work tablet, the resolution, size and weight are perfect. As an At Home tablet, with the exception of Tapped Out - not NVidia's fault, casual games, notes and photos all work a treat. The fact that it has a 5MP camera on both faces makes it perfect for general photos and HD video calls.Where it exceeds all expectations is as a gaming tablet. It is the first time a vendor has achieve tablet gaming which is actually playable, and this feature is as designed...no hacks here. Half Life and Portal - once started - as smooth and responsive. Scale this up onto my TV and nothing is lost. Running The Wolf Among Us on this device is close to quality I get on my 27 at 1440p.The controller has changed the way I play games for good. Gone are my consoles in favour for the Shield Tablet. I'll still be keeping my desktop but the fact that I'm no longer chained to it is a blessing.I bought the LTE model in the pack with the cover and controller, which is a far better deal and sweetened by the fact that three games were included (good on you Valve). On a negative note, there is really nothing on the market in the way of accessories for the device. To round off the Productivity features on the unit, it really need a keyboard cover. When at home I current BT a small Samsung KB with it and can pull around 60 - 70 WPM. It also seems to work with games (with a few tweaks) which is a nice touch.Overall, for my personal needs, the NVidia Shield Tablet ticks all the boxes. Its closest competition (Nexus 9) was beaten out by its larger size and significantly higher cost. If only NVidia would release this baby into other markets sooner. I'm sure they'd make a killing.
