  • 1Description

Take your Wi-Fi connection outdoors with the 2-pack of ENH500 High-Powered, Long Range 5 GHz Wireless N300 Outdoor Client Bridges from EnGenius. This outdoor client bridge offers a 600 mW high power output to support long range coverage of up to 1 mile offering enhanced data transfer rates of up to 300 Mb/s. With IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n support you can connect nearly any Wi-Fi enabled device directly to the client bridge which is capable of supporting up to four separate SSIDs for multiple VLAN support.

Inside the ENH500 you will find a 13 dBi directional antenna complete with 32MB of memory and 8MB of flash memory. Two LAN connectors, one with PoE support, allow you to connect this device to a PoE supported network eliminating the need for a separate power source. LED indicators on the ENH500 provide visual representation of the power status, LAN 1, LAN 2, WLAN, and Link Quality.

Installation has also been greatly simplified as this kit includes a PoE injector, power adapter, and mast mount kit. The waterproof client bridge enclosure is IP55 rated allowing it to withstand a variety of outdoor conditions.

    EnGenius ENH500 reviews

ENH500 High-Powered, Long Range 5 GHz Wireless N300 Outdoor Client Bridge (2-Pack) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Packed with features but complicated to select the right one B&H did a good job and I give them 5 stars. I'm using the EnGenius to extend WiFi about 1000 feet to a Liftmaster internet gateway to control a drive gate. There are hundreds of setting in this device and I finally called support to get help with the settings. Support answered the phone immediately and answered my questions. I give EnGenius support 5 stars. At the remote EnGenius at the gate the Liftmaster 828LM has trouble getting an IP address although it reliably gets one plugged into the router. A laptop plugged into the remote EnGenius reliably gets an IP address. I'm still trying to determine the problem lies. I'm confident it will work but this glitch is the reason for 4 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy again Used this to set up a wireless link for security cameras. All of the analog links would not transmit through some bushes that were in the way. Also had a problem with completely losing the video if a vehicle drove between the radios. We switched to IP cameras and link them with the ENH710 as an AP and the ENH500 as the bridge. So far, they are working flawlessly. According to their own internal speed test, the speeds are only reaching about 50 Mbs, however, that is more than enough for a single camera. I should also note that we made no attempt to precisely aim the bridge at the AP. We just found a place on the building that was roughly pointed in the right direction and attached it. Perhaps speeds would improve with some fine tuning but as I said, We are getting all of the speed that we need

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, easy setup! We have 2 buildings at our maintenance facility without conduit between them. Instead of ripping up the parking lot, we use the wireless link to connect the buildings. We are running internet, VoIP, and IP cameras over the link and it is just as good as a wired connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I will surely buy this product again. These antennas have solved the many needs my clients have to transmit data in 500 - 1000 mts ranges (that is what I usually need them for).
