The Horseman SW612D Camera Body is the central component within a modular camera system designed for capturing wide-angle and panoramic photographs. This hybrid system is able to accommodate both digital backs and roll film holders, as well as a range of dedicated lens units.
This camera body is constructed from CNC-machined metal and features an ergonomic design to suit handheld shooting. An accessory shoe is incorporated into the design to permit the attachment of an optional optical viewfinder, and a spirit level is also integrated into the camera's design to ensure level horizons.
Included with the camera body is an SWD Adapter Plate for Mamiya 645-mount digital backs.
Designed as the base within a modular camera system, this camera body is built to accept both optional digital backs as well as 6 x 7 or 6 x 12-format roll film holders. An adapter plate for Mamiya 645-mount digital backs is included with the camera and an optional adapter plate for Hasselblad V-mount digital backs is also available. When mounting roll film holders, the optional SWD Spacer for Roll Film Holder is required to achieve the proper flange focal distance.
Compatible with an array of optional dedicated SW and SW-D lens units, this system is especially well-suited to wide-angle and panoramic photography.
