Featuring a set of lenses including the 18, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 75, 100, and 135mm focal lengths, this Cooke miniS4/i Cine Lens Set provides you with a matched set of nine lenses that have a maximum aperture of T2.8 and cover sensors with an image circle of 33.54 mm. The lenses provide the well-known Cooke-look, and each lens is color-matched with the Cooke 5/1, S4/1, and Cooke anamorphics for a consistent look when switching lenses, or building a complete lens focal length kit.

These lenses are compatible with the /i compatible lens data systems and feature the same precision as the full sized cook S4/i construction, only with a maximum aperture of T2.8. The 8-leaf linear iris provides a smooth bokeh, with natural looking rounded highlights, cam driven internal focusing with large numerals on both sides of the lens to aid focus pullers in difficult lighting conditions. The lenses come with ARRI PL mounts with the i/technology contacts that passes lens information to the camera. The lenses support 4K and higher resolution, protecting your investment as sensor resolution improves. The lenses in this set are marked in feet and inches.

  • 18mm T2.8 miniS4/i Cine Lens (Feet)

The 18mm T2.8 miniS4/i Cine Lens from Cooke features focus scales marked in feet and is one of a set of lightweight companions to Cooke's already established S4/i lenses. The miniS4i lenses feature an aperture range of T2.8 to T22, while maintaining the same world renowned Cooke image characteristics.

This 18mm prime lens features a PL mount, which makes it compatible with most commonly used professional film and digital cinema cameras. Color-matched to intercut with other Cooke lenses, this lens combines classic, hand-fitted construction with a linear iris, cam-style focus, and /i Technology. If you are interested in a more vintage look, Cooke has optional un-coated lenses that you can use to replace the coated optics in your miniS4/1.

    Optical Design
The optics are designed to give maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration.
    /i Electronics
Contacts in the mount sync with /i compatible cameras and accessories, providing lens information on focusing distance, aperture and depth of field, hyperfocal distance, serial number, owner data, lens type and focal length in both meters and feet.
    Color Balance
All Cooke miniS4/i prime lenses are color balanced to the Cook 5/i, S4/i, and Anamorphic/i lenses.
    Aperture
All Cooke miniS4/i primes have a true T2.8 aperture and cover Super 35mm format.
    Index Marks
Every index mark is labeled. More detailed markings allow for more detailed focus control.
    Focus Movement
Academy Award-winning cam-style focus movement, coupled with the added benefit of a large lens barrel diameter, has allowed for an increased number of focus markings, particularly at close focus. Spherical aberration has been controlled throughout the range of focal lengths to eliminate compensation of changes in back focus with aperture. A four-point contact bearing provides a smooth, positive, backlash-free movement.
    Focus Scaling
Large, clear numerals on both sides of the focus barrel enable your focus puller to work from either side of the lens without remarking or flipping the lens upside down.
    Compatibility
All Cooke miniS4/i primes have a common fixed front diameter of 87mm, except for the 18mm which has a front diameter of 110mm. Each lens incorporates a focus drive gear of 121T x 0.8 mod and an iris drive gear of 119T x 0.8.
    External Finish
A scratch resistant PTFE hard anodized finish is provided on all Cooke lenses, providing a durable, hard-wearing surface to meet the most demanding environmental conditions.
    Iris
An eight-leaf linear module iris assembly is fitted into miniS4/i primes with an aperture range of T2.8 to T22.
The lens features an 110 mm front diameter for attaching matte box, filter ring, and add-on lens accessories.
You can purchase un-coated replacement optics for you lens, which will give your images a more vintage look. Please note that this is not a simple undertaking, but it is possible for authorized lens technicians to accomplish.

  • 135mm T2.8 miniS4/i Cine Lens

The 135mm T2.8 miniS4/i Cine Lens from Cooke comes with an illustrious heritage: most Hollywood films made in the first half of the 20th century were shot with Cooke lenses. Now, Cooke has revived the brand with a new set of lenses that further extend the company's reputation for quality into the digital era. These lightweight, cost-effective companions to Cooke's already established S4/i lenses carry over the most desirable features of their more expensive brethren, sacrificing only a single T-stop in the process. And yet with their aperture range of T2.8 to T22, the Cooke miniS4/i remain extremely flexible and make up for light sensitivity with reduced size, weight, and cost.

This 135mm lens is a prime (no pun intended) example: its PL mount makes it compatible with the most commonly used professional digital cinema cameras, including the RED ONE, Sony F35 and F3, Canon C300 PL, and Arri D21. Color-matched and interchangeable with all Cooke lenses, this lens combines classic, hand-fitted construction with a linear iris, cam-style focus, and /i Technology – which provides EXIF-like data to camera operators, cinematographers, and post-production technicians requiring precise measurements of lens and camera settings.

Cooke miniS4/i optics, meanwhile, are beyond superb, controlling flare, distortion, veiling glare, and spherical aberrations with the aperture wide open. This combination of unmatched image quality, state-of-the-art technology, and cost-effective durability makes this lens the perfect tool for multi-camera shoots, second-unit photography, stunt work, or filmmaking on a budget.

    Optical Design
The optics are designed to give maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion, and spherical aberration
    /i Electronics
A cable connector near the lens mount and contacts in the mount sync with /i-compatible cameras and accessories
    Color Balance
All Cooke miniS4/i prime lenses are color-balanced to a specification within parameters approved by Kodak
    Aperture
All Cooke miniS4/i primes have a true T2.8 aperture and cover Super 35mm-sized formats
    Index Marks
Every index mark is labeled. More detailed markings allow for more detailed focus control
    Focus Movement
The Academy Award-winning cam-style focus movement, coupled with the added benefit of a large lens barrel diameter has allowed for an increased number of focus markings, particularly at close focus. Spherical aberration has been controlled throughout the range of focal lengths to eliminate compensation of changes in back focus with aperture. A four-point contact bearing provides a smooth, positive, backlash-free movement.
    Focus Scaling
Large, clear numerals on both sides of the focus barrel benefit the focus puller when shooting under difficult lighting conditions

    Weight/Size Ratio
These lenses are designed for all shooting applications, including handheld and Steadicam, providing a comfortable balance ratio with the latest compact cameras
    Reliability & Service
Cooke miniS4/i prime lenses are designed to meet a market requirement for fully reliable performance with a minimum of downtime
