Not sure if this is true gaffer's tape but it seems to work well. The one inch width is not for all uses. It does come off without leaving a mark.

This is my most often used tape product for securing mics and other items on set. Obviously, this is the highly visible version. I also use 1, 2 and 3 gaffer tapes, but this tape is much more plasticky than fabricky. Tears perfectly and holds unbelievably well. Just a joy to use. Even in extreme humidity, where other tapes fail, this stays in place. Try a roll, you will buy again.

I've discovered that this tape does not stick to itself for more than several hours. I've had several occasions where I needed to use this tape on my ceiling air conditioning vents. While the tape sticks to the vent perfectly well, placing another length of this tape on top of a piece already in place doesn't work. A few hours later, any tape that was applied to an existing layer of tape comes loose.

Has anyone tried using this to key out apple boxes or small objects on their set?
This particular Devek tape is not for chroma key applications. A better option would be the Savage Gaffer Tape (Chroma Green, 2" x 55 yd), BH # SAGT255CG

don't have a blacklight to test it, but it looks good under a blue led light from my flashlight
