The Speco Technologies PBM60A is designed for commercial public address applications such as providing music and paging at a restaurant or bar. For audio inputs, the back panel of the unit provides one AM antenna press terminal, one FM antenna BNC terminal, three pairs of stereo RCA inputs, and three XLR microphone inputs with selectable phantom power and Mic 1 selectable priority paging. For control inputs the back panel features both an RS-232 and a TEL (terminal) connector for integration with control systems and telephone paging systems respectively. The included rackmount kit allows for convenient installation within a professional AV rack.
For outputs, the amplifier can provide 60 W RMS power or 120 W peak to five different zones at 70/25 V as well as drive 4, 8, and 16 ohm loads through the non-zoned outputs of the amplifier. An auxiliary output is provided on both an XLR-3M connector as well as an RCA stereo pair.
In addition to each source having its own volume control, the unit includes controls for master volume, vox volume, MOH volume, ±10 dB Bass, ±10 dB Treble, source selection, zone selection, module TEL in, and MoH out. These controls are also conveniently accessible through the included IR remote control. Front panel controls can be digitally locked to prevent unauthorized changes to the system. This model comes with an open module bay into which either an AM/FM tuner or a combination AM/FM tuner and CD/USB drive player may be installed.
