    Speco Technologies VLEDT1HG reviews

VLEDT1H 960H Outdoor Turret Camera with Night Vision (Dark Gray) is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PRICE FOR PRODUCT THAT IS AS DESCRIBED WE WERE LOOKING FOR A CAMERA TO KEEP IN STOCK INSTEAD OF ALWAYS HAVE CAMERAS OUT IN THE YARD AND SHOP AREAS. IT WAS TAKING 3 WEEKS TO GET THE COMPANY TO REPLACE DUE TO UNDER WARRANTY AND HAVING TO REQUEST NEW ONES WHERE AS WE GET THE SAME PRODUCT FOR 1/2 THE PRICE AND IT IS REDILY AVAILABLE. THIS SITE HAS VERY REASONABLE PRICING.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera for under 100 bucks! This is a great camera with superb low light ability! I have tried several different cameras in this particular spot and none have come close to the picture quality of this camera in both day and night settings. I will be ordering more!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible. Over exposed with no detail. I am very disjointed with this camera. I bought it to replace a Lorex LDC7082 which died shortly after hurricane Harvey. The Lorex is no longer available, and the specs for the VLEDT1HW are effectively the same and the same form factor so I picked this up. I have attached a comparison of screenshots from both cameras where I tried to make them as comparable as possible. The VLEDT1HW is horribly over exposed. It's all very black or white with very little detail. The street, which is typical grey concrete is so over-saturated it looks white in the image. The seams at the driveway joints that are in the sun are mostly obliterated due to the massive over exposure. It also seems to have some kind of edge detection that makes everything even worse. For instance, the shadow of the house on the driveway has an extra dark edge. It's almost as if someone drew a black line there. (It's not a perfect direct comparison. I don't normally make screen captures but I was tracking the flood water receding and this was the last cap I made before the camera went out.) I can't speak to the other very positive reviews. This camera doesn't seem to have any real detail so if you are only monitoring the comings/goings it might be OK, but if you actually need to see detail of what you are looking at, get something else.
