Store and access up to 240GB of your data, be it movies, photos, music, documents, or other files, with the 240GB Ultra II SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD from SanDisk. It is equipped with a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface that fits into your system's 2.5" / 7mm drive bay, and provides load and access times for files and programs that are faster than those of a traditional spinning hard drive. In terms of speed, this drive offers sequential write speeds of up to 500 MB/s, sequential read speeds of up to 550 MB/s, random writes of up to 83,000 IOPS, and random reads of up to 91,000 IOPS. In addition to its enhanced data transfer rates, this drive also offers a life expectancy of 1.75 million hours MTBF, nCache 2.0 technology, NCQ support, TRIM support, DevSleep, dynamic and static wear leveling, thermal throttling, and S.M.A.R.T. support.

With solid state drive technology, you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Having no moving parts also means that SSDs receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. SSDs also help to deliver improved battery life and cooler operating temperatures.

General Features

Accelerate Your System with Read Speeds up to 550 MB/s
Get sequential read speeds up to 550 MB/s for improved startup and overall performance. Load and run applications, games, videos, and photos more quickly so you can spend more time doing and less time waiting.
Enhanced Speed Technology
nCache 2.0 technology helps optimize performance by writing everything into the drive's high-speed buffer before transferring it to the flash array. This architecture helps enables faster burst speed, and allows the drive to achieve sequential write speeds of up to 500 MB/s.
Durable Solid State Design
With no moving parts, the SanDisk Ultra II SSD is engineered to resist shock and vibration, helping to keep your data safe even if you drop your computer.
SanDisk SSD Dashboard
The SanDisk SSD Dashboard gives you real-time visibility into how your drive is performing. It includes cloning software to help you set up your new drive, tools for disk analysis, and alerts for firmware updates.
A More Efficient Drive
SanDisk SSDs are cool, quiet, and efficient, so your laptop battery lasts longer on a single charge.
NCQ Support
NCQ support manages the queue length for better multitasking and workload management.
TRIM Support
TRIM support and Background Garbage Collection free up unallocated blocks that once held data to help lower latency and boost performance.
DevSleep helps to further reduce power consumption.
Dynamic & Static Wear Leveling
Dynamic and static wear leveling help make the drive last longer.
Thermal Throttling
Thermal throttling helps protect critical drive components against extreme high temperatures to enable data integrity
S.M.A.R.T. support monitors the health of your SSD in real time to help prevent data loss.

240GB Ultra II SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great with Ninja 2 I use my Atomos Ninja 2 to capture live streams from a BMD ATEM switcher at the highest quality setting (ProRes 422 HQ) which requires a steady 220Mbps recording rate. I experienced dropouts once using an old 5400 RPM drive from 2009...probably not the best decision I made in my I decided it was time to greatly upgrade my recording media. The Atomos website suggests a higher model of SSD than this one, but they do recommend the SanDisk brand. I decided to chance it on this one because of the lower price and have no regrets. It has been rock solid during video capture, is extremely lightweight, and has enough space to record about 2hr. 40min. of ProRes 422 HQ which is adequate for my needs. Read rates with the Newer Technology USB 3.0 drive dock are phenomenal to say the least. This drive has greatly sped up my post-production work and I'm not looking back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Choice. Fast and lightweight. Fast, lightweight and cheap. A obvious choice. Speed up system and programs or use to render 3D files or save big PSD and PSB files.Rpido, barato e leve. Uma escolha fcil para quem quer um SSD para incrementar a velocidade de seu PC. O chassis de plstico, mas como para meu desktop, pouco importa. Recomendo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Migration software included Great ssd @ good price, however beware there is no migration software included so you will need to download a third party software if you are wanting to ghost another drive to this one. If you are installing OS from scratch this is a great fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good Internal Hard Drives I use these HDD in my Atomos Shogun to record from my Sony PMW 320K. This camera records 35 Mb/s in 4:2:0 but outputs 10 bit 4:2:2 color. I get very beautiful video footage and the read/write speed is excellent. These are Solid state drives, so they make no noise and have no spinning motors. Great!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid offering...good price v. performance Used the SanDisk SSDs to upgrade a variety of systems that were using old HDDs. Breathes new life into old gear. Warranty is OK, but considering the units into which they were going, the SSDs would like outlast the PCs. Longer warranties and faster performance are available in other SDDs, but given what I was using these for, the price point was an overriding factor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade I bought this to extend the life of an old Windows notebook a few more years, and it fulfilled my expectations. It installed easily and works perfectly. Adding an SSD is the best way to revive an aging computer, and the Sandisk unit is a great price/performance value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handling and Recording The SanDisk 240GB Ultra II SSD is a great product especially for someone starting out. It has a good enough size for small to medium uncompressed audio and video. I currently use it in my Ninja 2 along side my Canon C100 and it works well quickly and smoothly.
