You buy the 10tb and later want to swap the HD's with Lacie brand to =20tb is this possible?
Yes, this enclosure can support 20TB and you can later swap out the drives with larger drives.

How do I turn off the alarm sounding every time the RAID synchronizes?
Don't know the answer to that one. LaCie customer support is useless. All I can share with you is that it is Critical Thatbyou power up your LaCie 10TB 5big first, then your computer/edit system. You also have to make sure that your computer system settings are set to Never Sleep What are you synchronizing to? Are you using the sync software that came eight the LaCie?
