Cinematique Instruments 1 from Big Fish Audio brings the weird, odd and rare to the sound palette available for film composers, sound designers, or anyone looking for the unusual when it comes to sound creation. The 2GB library contains instruments such as a thirty-six string autoharp, the kantele, a traditional five-string plucked instrument from the zither family and native to Finland, a wooden Celtic nylon harp, and a bowed psaltery, a type of zither featuring a wooden soundbox with unstopped strings over it.
In addition to a collection of percussion sounds, the virtual instrument includes rare keyboard instruments such as the low-fidelity Super-Sound EK-470 e-piano, an organ with an electric fan which blows air across its reeds, and the Zeitter & Winkelmann piano. The Glass, Metallic Objects, Experimental Box and Downbeat Box sound packs contain sounds obtained in many unconventional ways including beating on metallic kitchen appliances with mallets, brushes, fingers, and fists.
Additional instruments were assembled from sounds such as station announcements, trains, paper crumpling, acoustic and electronic noise, station hum, underground railway noise, pneumatic doors, crown cap shaking, glitches, noise, hiss, hum, and other sources.
