    Canon IPF680 reviews

    imagePROGRAF iPF680 24" Large-Format Inkjet Printer is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer works Great VERY HAPPY I bought this to replace on old hp designjet 500. Wow what a difference! The instructions were perfect. All parts were well marked for right & left. No guessing which side is this part meant to be placed . Stand went together fast with all of the required tools provided. Put the printer on the stand installed the software. I did not time but it took 1 to 1-1/2 hours while I was still handling other business. It takes the printer a while to fill the ink tanks from the ink cartridges. No worries, that means there is still plenty of ink in the tanks when the cartridge is empty. The printing time is fast and looks good in their default color mode and ripping fast in economy mode. Grey scale prints still look OK in that mode. Perfect for redlining and markups to save some ink. I had one disappointment. The flat stacker does not work with 24 x 36 (D size) prints. All of their literature makes you think it will flat stack all prints. Still it is not the end of the world. It does nicely stack prints in the bin. The old HP would just drop them in the bottom of the bin all curled up and needed to be pulled out one by one and sorted and stacked in the correct order. The IPF670 entry level printer would likely have worked fine for me, but I hold onto a printer as long as possible. The IPF680 is faster and has a better duty cycle. It also can hold the 300ml ink cartridges to make printing less expensive. I still have a couple of 150 ft rolls of paper. When they are gone I will order the 300 ft rolls that will last twice as long. When printing the dialog box let you know how much paper is left on the existing roll. Shipping was fast! I ordered on Tuesday and the printer was delivered with Fedex freight lift gate service 2 days later on Thursday. Fedex took the pallet and rolled it from the truck across the pavement and placed it inside on the concrete floor. B&H was GREAT to deal with again. I buy everything possible from these folks. They provide good knowledgeable customer service when needed. Thank you B&H
