Ideal for observation and astroimaging, the Ultima Duo 10mm Eyepiece from Celestron contains fully multi-coated optics engineered with eight lens elements arranged in five groups. Working in tandem with blackened interior edges, its optics produce bright and clear high-contrast images with true color rendition across its wide 68° field of view. Its unique snout design allows it to be used in both 1.25" and 2" drawtubes and accessories without requiring adapters. To enhance visual observation or image capture, the eyepiece barrel is threaded to accept most standard 1.25" astronomical filters.

The eyepiece has as impressive 20mm eye relief with a fold-down rubber eyecup that allows the user's head to be pulled back from the eyepiece to reduce contact and vibrations for easier and clearer observation. For astrophotography or imaging, when the eyecup is removed, standard 42mm T-ring threads are exposed to accept optional camera-specific T-rings to easily mount your DSLR or imager directly to the eyepiece. Celestron made the eyepiece out of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy with a protective matte anodized finish, and rubberized grips for sure handling in the cold or when wearing gloves.

Ultima Duo 21mm Eyepiece (1.25"/2") is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Proceed with caution. Overall, a great concept in a lens, and very convenient: Simply attach your DSLR to the DUO via T-mount, and that's it, you're ready for astrophotography. The range of powers in this series is good, but this is the upper limit for focal length, iow, it would be nice if they added a 30mm. I've trialed all of these with my Nikon D600, except for the 13mm, and they work very nicely for a budget solution. Why 4 stars? I find all these lenses very frustrating to use for basic viewing as the eye relief is extremely near, and extremely narrow - your eye must be nearly on the lens to get the full 68 deg view, and then be sure to _not move_.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finaly!!! Astronomy Meets DSLR !!! I've been photographer 30 years. My 1st camera was SRT101. I've been astronomer 12 years. Finaly I can shoot live HD VIDEO with my D3100 & D3200 Nikons. I've spent $ on equipment with Meade lx200 Gps telescope. SATURN ON MAY 22nd 2015 in opposition. I Highly recommend this set of eyepieces. Threads into T-mount adapter. CLEAR SKIES AND GOOD JOB B&H PHOTO. thanks Mr. Kolesar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorites in my collection I liked the idea that it has a thread adapter for adding DSLR or CCD cameras. On top of that, it reveals a very sharp view of any object I happen to pick out. Works well with my 2X Barlow.
