This B&H Kit leverages the computing power of an iPad, iPad Air, or iPad mini to complete a project vocal recording studio. It consists of a Focusrite iTrack Dock Professional Recording for iPad that functions as an audio interface, a large diaphragm studio cardioid condenser microphone for recording vocals, a shockmount for isolating the vocal microphone from floor vibrations, an XLR microphone cable for connecting the microphone to the dock, a tall tripod stand with telescoping boom for supporting the vocal microphone, a pop filter for controlling vocal sibilance, and a pair of professional studio headphones for monitoring your mix.
Focusrite iTrack Dock Professional Recording for iPad
The Focusrite iTrack Dock Professional Recording for iPad is designed for studio recording directly to a lightning connector iPad (4th generation, Air) or iPad mini (with or without retina display). The dock features two Focusrite Scarlett series preamplifiers with switchable +48V of phantom power for powering condenser microphones. The unit can record two simultaneous channels of audio at up to 24-bit 96 kHz resolution with a dynamic range of 105 dB.
For I/O, input one of the dock features a balanced XLR input for connecting to a microphone, a 1/4" instrument DI input for connecting to a source such as a guitar, and a 1/4" balanced line input for connecting to line level sources such as a synthesizer, drum machine, or CD player. Input two features a balanced XLR input for connecting to a microphone and a 1/4" balanced line input.
For outputs, the dock features two balanced 1/4" outputs for connecting to headphones or powered studio monitors. A USB type A port allows you to connect a MIDI controller and a Kensington port allows you to secure the device with a Kensington lock.
The front panel features separate gain control knobs for inputs 1 and 2 with gain level LED ring halos, a headphone output knob, a monitor output knob, and a direct monitor button for latency-free monitoring. The dock comes with "Tape," Focusrite's iPad application for recording, mastering, and sharing music. The unit is also plug-and-play compatible with CORE audio iPad apps such as Garageband, Auria, and Cubasis.

Kopul Studio Elite 4000 Series XLR M to XLR F Microphone Cable - 6' (1.8 m), Black
The Kopul Studio Elite 4000 Series XLR M to XLR F Microphone Cable (6') is a studio-quality cable for connecting mics to mixers, preamps, audio interfaces and recorders; or to be used in any other application where XLR connectivity is required. The cable is engineered to be both quiet and durable, and is well-suited for critical recording and broadcast situations.
Studio Elite 4000 Series cables are made from 24 AWG OFC copper wire that's wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. A 98% braided outer shield makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrix XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.
98% braided shield offers protection from EMI and RFI noise.
Twin-conductive PVC inner shielding provides 100% coverage of the core conductor. It helps keep the cable's signal from radiating and affecting nearby cables, and also helps prevent external EMI from penetrating to the cable's core.
24 AWG oxygen-free stranded copper inner core provides the best possible conductivity.
Cotton yarn reduces electrostatic and microphonic noise.
All solder points shrink-wrapped for protection.
Neutrik XX silver connectors offer high conductivity.
Cast zinc shell and chuck style strain relief.
Senal SMH-500 Professional Studio Headphones
The SMH-500 Professional Studio Headphones from Senal feature accurate sound, superior comfort, and durable materials. They are designed for studio and light field applications. The over-ear, closed-back design provides ample isolation to block out ambient noise on location, and prevent headphone leakage when recording in the studio. Their soft, replaceable ear cushions, lightweight design and refined sound ensure a comfortable listening experience, even during extended sessions.
Equipped with 40mm neodymium drivers at 58 ohm impedance, the SMH-500 headphones are designed to be loud enough when attached to low-powered devices such as mobile phones and mp3 players, yet robust enough to handle studio headphone amps without distortion.
The headphones are designed with an EQ curve that's been tailored for an enhanced low end that allows engineers to detect rumble and monitor bass frequencies effectively. The excellent high-frequency response has been enhanced to accurately and clearly reproduce spatial detail. There is also a slight bump in the midrange to maintain focus on vocal and dialogue intelligibility.
In addition to great sound, the SMH-500 headphones offer superior comfort with a soft padded headband. The 10' single-sided coiled cable allows freedom of movement for musicians, editors, and engineers.
Whether monitoring in the field, studio or on a portable device, the SMH-500 headphones provide an accurate and comfortable listening experience.
