    Polaroid Cube reviews

Cube Lifestyle Action Camera (Blue) is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little Gem The little camera is certainly a head turner. The Cube is a point and shoot camera in every sense of the term. I used the Cube as my go to camera during my Florida vacation. I am more than happy with the quality of both still images and video. However, the camera does its best work in daylight or very bright indoor lighting. The night time images are muddy with extreme pixelation. There is a certain learning curve when it comes to framing your shot. Since there is no viewfinder, it's basically hit or miss when pointing the camera at your subject. Needless to say, I really enjoy taking shots with the Cube. It's a break from lugging around the full frame Nikon. I took the Cube to Coney Island for the Annual Polar Bear swim. The Cube has an ultra wide angle lens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A head turner The selling point of the CUBE is its size and shape. Other than that the quality of the videos and stills is no different than any other $ pocket digital camera. I like the fact that the entire CUBE is rubberized. The poor thing was dropped a few times while hand held on a bike ride. It's basically a daytime camera. The camera needs a lot of light for both stills and video.I purchased the bicycle mount and waterproof housing. The CUBE also has a magnet on its bottom. The field of view is a bit wide so that you get major distortion on the sides as the subject gets closer to the camera. I think the $ retail price is a bit steep for what you get in terms of quality. It's a cute little device that is certainly a head turner. I was eager to purchase the camera and I'm glad I did but it certainly won't replace any of the other family of digital cameras. It's not the camera of choice for any serious photography or videography. I'm taking the camera on a snorkeling vacation in December. I'm eager to use the waterproof housing and see how it reacts to underwater video.I would still recommend the CUBE but with an asterisk

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nice pocket camera. It is great fir family reunions, or outdoor stuff, and make short edits for videos. I really like the magnet, which allows you to place it everywhere, and I like the small cube so you can take it everywhere and records things. It makes a great gift, it is easy to use for kids, and is really fun. Also for video blogging, has good sound quality (not great, but, is no pro audio) and for events, like concerts or other activities outdoors. It will work great for making of videos, or how to do stuff videos, when you want close ups or extreme shots. a very nice contraption of a camera! and for the price, is great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nifty little camera Cons: 1. Can only control the settings when connected to a computer. 2. Doesn't do very well in low lighting Pros: 1. The magnet on the bottom of this thing has been very handy 2. The camera is tiny which is great when using it on people/performers that are very self conscious 3. Decent battery life 4. Affordable 5. Perfect for musicians that don't have very much money but want to put stuff out in the world

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little gadget The Cube is a real head turner. I personally think the videos and stills are outstanding. I took the Cube on a Florida snorkeling trip and came back with outstanding stills and videos. Each one a winner. The Cube works better during bright daylight hours. The low light/night time videos and stills are muddy and horribly grainy. I purchased the waterproof housing and the bicycle attachment. I have a 32 Gb micro SD card inserted. It is as point and shoot as you can ever get. No view finder so there is a learning curve when it comes to properly angling the camera. Sometimes you get a head cut off now and then. It's ultra wide angle gives you an out of the ordinary perspective. The Cube also has a magnet on its bottom. It is definitely a head turner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun and compact This is not for high-end videos, although you can shoot 1080p. It is very compact, and thus easy to hold and is discreet. But aiming is pretty much instictual as there is no preview screen. I notice most of my shots end with an abrupt skyward tilt because I pull the camera back to see the button to turn it off. This is my fault, so I will have to train mysleft to hold it steady until it is off. Sound and video quality are nice, so I would recommend this, especially for personal, family video and informal usage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everything I expcted It's everything I expected..I was excited when the news of the Cube hit the internet. The Cube arrived in the evening so the maiden run was at night. I also purchased the bicycle mount for a little night time ride. The night time video quality was fair to poor. Highlights were burned out. However, I did nor purchase the Cube for night time videography. The Cube requires daytime lighting or very bright indoor lighting. The camera has a great wide angle field of view. It's an out of the ordinary product. The daytime stills and video gets a passing grade from me.I've dropped the Cube a few times outside and the rubber construction absorbed the 'shock'The stills make great 4x6 to 5x7 prints. My version of Photoshop does not recognize the Cube so I have to use a micro SD card reader. No problem there.I'm glad I made the purchase. The Cube certainly will not replace the other pocket digital cameras but is a welcome addition to the family

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I didn't know what to expect... and I was pleased. Just tried it today for the first time on my helmet while riding my bike. No regrets about not buying the more expensive ones. The video is great and what really surprised me is the sound. A guy rode up next to me and asked if it was the Polaroid cam on my helmet and we got to talking, both while standing and riding and I heard him perfectly even with the sound of cars passing. I just watched the video of my first ride and it really is good. I thought I probably would use it just a few times and get bored, but I don't think so. I don't know how much better the more expensive GoPro is, but without looking at that this is all I need for seeing what riding my bike in the city looks like. I'm really glad I bought this and again, without seeing the GoPro, I don't see any compromises here and I'm very satisfied.
