question

What is the release date for the Sony's Metz 44 af-1?
Asked by: alex b.
According to Amazon's helpful info, this flash first came out for the Sony MI shoe on Dec 1, 2014. It has been available for other cameras since Feb 1, 2011. Not that it matters--flash technology doesn't change much.

question

Is this flash compatible with Sony a350?
Asked by: Sophie E.
It doesn't look like it. I got this flash for a Sony camera that has a newer Sony Multi-Interface (MI) hotshoe. The A350, from a quick Internet search, appears to have an older Minolta -style flash hotshoe - it looks quite different from the MI hotshoe. I guess Sony changed things after the A350 came out.
