Ambient Recording MK12-90 Reviews
Great cable, but pricey.
This cable was exactly what I was looking for (connecting to the bottom of a boom pole), however it seems extremely expensive for what it is. It's not especially thick and doesn't appear outwardly to be extraordinarily durable.
This thing is thin!
Clearly, this is more suited for mic applications whereby your walking around while tethered. Still, the quality is superb and I don't hear any ground loop noise through the cable at all. The options available include heavily shielded cables but I believe that 'Ambient Recording' has been able to achieve something special here.
Very Thin - German Made Mic Cable
This is a very well-made and extremely thin cable. Despite the lack of super-shielding, it actually reduced the line noise considerably from the stock cables I was using for my Electro-Voice RE20. Presumably, a cable like this would be used in a studio that's free of foot traffic, and in my case, I simply use it at my desk and it seems to be perfect.
