Featuring a brightness of 2200 lumens, the HT1085ST Full HD DLP Short-Throw Projector from BenQ is designed for home theater and presentation applications where high-definition content needs to be shown in its full resolution. A 1.2x zoom, 0.69 to 0.83:1 throw ratio, and both horizontal and vertical keystone correction give the HT1085ST the adaptability required to work around small spaces where the projector has to be placed close to the screen and can't be perfectly centered. It features two HDMI 1.4a inputs with 3D support for use with Blu-ray players, consoles, or computers that output 3D through HDMI. In addition, one HDMI input features MHL compatibility so that a mobile device such as a smartphone can charge while plugged in. There are also component and composite inputs for legacy analog devices.
An IR remote is included for local operation or - ideal for table-top usage - there are top-panel buttons that can be used to access the menu system. A 12 VDC low-voltage trigger means the projector can control another device that is part of the installation - for example, by automatically raising or lowering a motorized screen when the projector is turned on or off. Finally, RS-232 enables integration with automation systems such as Crestron.
Single-Chip DLP Technology
Uses a combination of a chip covered in millions of micro-mirrors and a color wheel to produce an image. DLP features less spacing between pixels and better contrast than many comparable LCD-based systems and there is no filter to replace
6X-Speed RGBRGB Color Wheel
A six-segment color wheel (RGBRGB) is optimized to produce realistic color depth and range - with BrilliantColor Technology further boosting every color to achieve an even more lifelike color performance
Independent Color Management
BenQ's color management provides color customization with the freedom and flexibility to independently fine-tune the hue and saturation levels of each of the six color wheel tones
ISFccc Certification for Professional Projection Calibration
Under the HT1085ST's ISF calibration menu, the ISF technicians can custom-calibrate the projector's image quality with optimized color profiles based on your home environment
Superior Contrast Performance with DarkChip3
The HT1085ST is built with Texas Instruments' advanced DarkChip3 DLP Technology, which projects higher brightness and deeper black levels by filling in the area where the digital micro mirror connects to its hinge to produce a more film-like aesthetic
1.2x Zoom and Short 0.69 to 0.83:1 Throw Ratio
Throw ratio is one of the most important specifications a projector lens has as it tells you the image size (width) you will get at a given distance from the screen. For example, at the 1.1x zoom setting and a 6' distance this projector will throw a 95"-wide (109"-diagonal) image
2200 Lumens Lamp
A single lamp provides 2200 lumens brightness in Normal mode, and is estimated to last 3500 hours (up to 6000 hours when constantly used at the lowest brightness setting). To determine the ideal brightness level for your application, you will need to take into account the screen width, distance from the projector to the screen (throw distance), amount of ambient light near the screen, and the reflectivity (gain) of the screen surface used
16:9 Native Aspect Ratio
This projector features Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, which results in a 16:9 "widescreen" native aspect ratio - the standard for HDTVs. In addition, the projector can show 4:3 content, either by adding black bars to the sides (pillaring), stretching the image to fit, or cropping the image
Horizontal and Vertical Keystone Correction
While many projectors only have vertical correction, the HT1085ST has horizontal as well. This means the projector can be off-center to the right or left of the screen, in addition to being higher or lower than the center of the screen. It supports ±20° adjustment both vertically and horizontally
HDMI 1.4a 3D Support
The HT1085ST supports multiple sources of 3D in 1080p Full HD quality - including Blu-ray, 3D broadcast, video games, NVIDIA 3DTV PC enabled graphics cards, and more - all crosstalk free
This projector is able to support MHL devices through one of its two HDMI ports. This means that a mobile device can charge while connected to the projector. It is also to possible play, pause, stop, and navigate media files using the projector remote when playing from a compatible smart device. A separately available MHL to HDMI adapter cable is required
10 Watt Built-In Speaker
With 10 watts of power, plus a specially engineered speaker chamber designed to enrich the bass, the HT1085ST has you covered even if a separate sound system is unavailable. What's more, there are four preset sound modes and one equalizer setting available for you to optimize the aural experience
Auto Source Detection
Detects the input source with half the speed of previous models, and even highlights the detected source in green to signal that the source is ready
First-Timer-Friendly Setup Wizard
For setting up the HT1085ST for the very first time, simply follow the step-by-step visual instructions provided on the user interface of the setup wizard
USB for Optional Wireless FHD Kit (WDP101)
A USB port provides 1.5 VDC current for powering the receiver that is part of the separately available Wireless FHD Kit. This kit allows you to transmit up to 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution video wirelessly, avoiding messy cable runs
Note: The USB port is specifically for powering the Wireless FHD Kit, and is not suitable for third-party accessories
Smart Eco Mode
The Eco Blank mode allows you to blank the projection. When activated, this feature dims the lamp power automatically, lowering the total power consumption by up to 70%. All you need to do is press the "Eco Blank Mode" button on the keypad or the "Blank" button on the remote control
Automatically switches to Eco Blank Mode after the projector is turned on for over three minutes without a display source, eliminating unnecessary energy waste and prolonging the life of the projector lamp
Low Voltage Trigger
A 12 VDC output that can be wired with other equipment in your A/V system, such as a motorized screen, so that when the projector powers on or off the attached equipment responds appropriately - for example, by raising or lowering the screen
